Annual General Meeting Minutes 4pm Monday 10th June 2024

Present: Carol Packer (Chair), John Myers (Treasurer), John Lamoon (Trustee), Sue Jones (admin support)

  1. Welcome by the Chair, apologies received from Charlotte Zosseder, Allison Burton (stuck in traffic), Michele Wilsher.

  2. Approve the Minutes of the previous AGM date 6[th] June 2023

  3. Received the Trustees Annual Report (Carol to provide text). (Michele Wilsher joined the meeting during this item)

  4. Received the Treasurers report and approved the accounts for 1[st] January -31[st] December 2023, externally examined by Brian Constable. Income £22,717, expenditure £33,325; recording a deficit of expenditure over income of £10,608. This is partly due to repair and refurbishment carried out, the return of the £2K grant to KCC and the overpayment of contractors’ invoices, still owed to the charity of £3657.72. Income from hire has increased by nearly £2K over 2022.

  5. Approved the submission of the C16a Annual Return to the Charity Commission by the 30[th of] June 2023, subject to the activation of the new My portal charity commission account.

  6. Brian Constable Appointed as the Independent Examiner of the accounts for 2024.

  7. All previous officers willing to accept nominations, re-elected by the Board as nominated. Elected officers to the Board for 2023:

    • a. Chair: Carol Packer

    • b. Secretary: Michele Wilsher

    • c. C. Treasurer: John Myers.

  8. Noted Allison Burton and Charlie Zosseder did not wish to be reelected as Trustees from the date of the AGM.

  9. Late business: The Agreement to hire a space to the Bingo Club was signed by Carol Packer and John Lamoon on behalf of the Board and John Myers on behalf of the Bingo Club. (Allison Burton arrived as the meeting closed)
