ANNUAL REPORT AND ACCOUNTS FOR FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2022
1.0 Introduction
This report looks at various aspects regarding the finances and operation of the Cheltenham Muslim Association (CMA) for the financial year ending 31[st] March 2022.
2.0 Objectives
The main aims and objectives of the CMA are as defined within the Charity’s governing document ‘The Constitution’ as applied during the period ending 31[st] March 2003. Any member requiring a current copy of the constitution is able to obtain this from the secretary.
The primary goals for this year have been to continue running of the Mosque and Madressa through the services of a fulltime imam, and carry out effective management and administration of the organisation necessary on a day to day basis.
3.0 The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is as follows:

4.0 The Cheltenham Muslim Association
4.1 The Mosque
The mosque has been running smoothly since its construction completion and there is nothing significant to report.
4.2 The Madressa
The Imam, Maulana Ibrahim Patel has continued his excellent efforts in maintaining a high standard of Islamic education for the children within the community. The current class constitutes of 30 pupils of varying ages.
5.0 Other Events and Activities
Finances
The CMA hold three separate banking accounts plus cash in hand giving a total cash asset value of £188,227.34 as at 31[st] March 2022. Here are the individual amounts:

The executive committee will dispose interest money to meet Islamic Shari’ah requirements in Ramadhan. The money will be donated to all those considered fit by the Islamic Shari’ah to receive such donations.
The Imam Account is used to fund the services of the Imam. The account is supported by voluntary contributions by Madressa fees, member and various other donations.
