## **Chairwoman's Report for 2020** . From Sucimani (Karen Fletcher) The Trust's exclusive activity during 2020 continued to be the funding of the Office of the Triratna Buddhist Order. At the end of 2020 there were just over 2,340 members, who in turn are responsible for the public centres and the many different worldwide activities of the Triratna Buddhist Community. During 2020 our work included: 1. Supporting Lokeshvara and Aryajaya including with NI contributions and pension contributions. Lokeshvara and Aryajaya are the International Convenors of the Order which involves maintaining contact with the Order areas internationally and facilitating communication through chapters, order weekends, conventions etc. 2. The International Order Office team continued, as in previous years, to provide a number of very important services to the Triratna Buddhist Order worldwide including publication and distribution of Shabda, the Order information service, maintaining the Order register and Order website, and supporting the development of the network of Order convenors worldwide, the organisation of a large international Order event which was held online due to the covid restrictions. It was well attended by over 700 order members worldwide and was a very successful event. We have also continued to have weekly meditation sessions for order members which again are well attended and there is much appreciation expressed for them, - 3.The partnership between the Trust and Dharmachakra was working well and it was pleasing to see the spaces on their online site for order members were being well used. 4. We contributed towards the support costs for one member of staff as the order strand’s contribution to their work for the international council. 5. Due to the covid restrictions very few ordinations took place in 2020. The total number worldwide was 31. The International Order Office team in 2020 saw the departure of Vajrapriya having passed on his duties to Amaradaya. We also had the arrival of Vandika as a team member and Subhadassi as a new order convenor with responsibility for care and conduct in the order.
