THE LIVING WATERS TRUST Trustee's Report for year ending 31st March 2024

The ministry of the Trust during this period was unexpectedly blessed by the donation of £354,442.00 specifically to enable the charity The Community Life Trust, the registered charity of Beacon Church Chertsey to purchase the building next door to it’s building. This is to enable the church to expand it’s existing involvement in the local community. This meant there was a temporary curtailment of our usual donations. However we expect to pick these up again in the next year.

The objectives of the trust remain as follows,

  1. to advance the Christian Faith.

  2. to give help to those who suffer as a result of their faith.

  3. to bring help to the disadvantaged, in the U.K. and overseas.

In seeking to further these objectives the trust expects to continue to support to the following

organisations :

Objective 1 Sat-7, Tribal Transformation in India, The Bible Society, Wycliff Bible Translators, Care, Good News for Everyone, Beacon Church. The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, World Horizons, Objective 2 Open Doors, Barnabus trust, Christian Solidarity Worldwide. A.D.F.

Objective 3 In agreeing the allocation of support, the trustees will continue to give consideration to the Charity Commissioner's guidance on “public benefit “, in particular as it relates to charities involved in the advancement of religion. Beacon Church, The Christian Blind Mission, M.A.F. Mercy Ships, Medair, The Leprosy Mission, Tear Fund, Freedom from Torture.

During the year the Trust supported the following ministries. Under objective 1.

  1. Beacon Church, the ongoing support of 2 churches in South Africa.

  2. O.C.C.A. for it’s Apologetics ministry Under Objective 3.

  3. 1..Beacon Church for it’s purchase of a building to extend it’s community work.

  4. New Life Church Biggin Hill for it’s support of disadvantaged children at the Dihlabeng school in Clarens S.A.

Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups.

In general our support is channelled through U.K. Registered Charities. However the trustees will continue to review the work of each ministry that is supported, principally on the basis of the charities' annual reports and in some cases on the basis of their own personal knowledge. Signed by the trustees,

C. J. Van Den Broek A. Van Den Broek.
