The Charity is governed by its constitulion d8led February 2015. Truslees meet
regularly to discuss. plan and monilor the activilies ol Ihe Charity. The Charily has no
employees. All events are organised by volunteers. New Trustees are appointed from
the parents of Ihe Gerrards Cross CE School.

Objective, Principal Activlty and PublSc Benefit Statement
The principal objective and activity of the Charily in Ihe year under review was to
continue to raise money for the Gerrards Cross CE School. lo enable it to continue to
advance the education of all the pupils attending. The TrUst￿S confirm that they have
complied wilh their dutyto have due regard lo the guidance on public benefit published
by the Charity Commission, in exercising their powers and duties.
Investment Powers and Policles
The Charity will seek to maximise the retum on cash balances by utilising higher
interest bank accounts, where appropriate. The Charity will nol make any other form
of investment.
Reserves Policy
The Trusiees considerlhat 8 reserve in the region of £2,IJX), but not more than £8.000.
is necessary to ensure sufficient funds are available to secure bookings or make
payments in advance of events. In addilion. the Trustees consider Ihal the Charily
should hold sufficient funds to meet any needs of Ihe school, which can, at Ihe
discretion of Ihe Trustees be used lo fund expenditure by Ihe school of up to £40.IX)O.
The level of reserves is considered by Trustees al their quarterly meetings.
Analysls of Income Generated
Most of the income generated came from events held in the year. as well as £1.CXJO
from The Boulell Bequest towards a new all-wealher running track for the school and
£450 from miscellaneous ilems. All evenls were well supported by members of the
school community.

Quiz & Curry Night
This event raised a great profit of £3.567 (YE 2022.. £2.566). The event was held in
the Gerrards Cross CE School hall and Mr Arnold, a teacher from the school. was Ihe
quiz master and kept Ihe parents entertained. The PTA hereby records its thanks to
Mr Arnold and all those who helped make the event 8 huge success.
Chrlstmas wreath making workshop
A Christmas wreath making workshop was inlroduced Ihis year. The event was held
in the Gerrards Cross CE School hall and was led by a local florist, Holly and Ivy
Flowers. The event raised £226 and was a wonderful leslive evening that was enjoyed
by all who altended.
Christmas Fair
The Christmas Fair raised £5.293 {YE 2022.. £7.5851. Whilst Ihe PTA continued with
the usual activities. we also conlinued the concept of a Christmas village that was
introduced in the prior year. The Christmas village involved local small suppliers
setting up stands and selling Iheir items (such as jewellery. gift hampers and
homemade ilemsl in exchange for a monelary donation lo the PTA. This was a well-
attended event and overall. there was a greal festive spirit.
Christmas Cards
Christmas cards raised £701 (YE 2022: £995). The online sale of Christtnas cards
continues to be very well received.
Lent Fair
The profil this year was £1,336 (YE 2022.. £2.175) The PTA produced beautiful Easter
Hampers to be raffled off for the evenl. which was made possible because of the
generous hamper donations from parenls.

Easter Egg Hunt
Given the success of the Easter Egg Hunl in prior years, Ihe evenl was put on again
over Iwo days. Families purchased tickels and were given a map and clues lo lead
them to lelters, put up around the local area, and idenlify an easier Ihemed word. The
egg hunt ended with each child receiving an easter egg from Koa Tails Dog Grooming
& Boulique {'Koa Tails"). a local business. The PTA would like to record its sincere
thanks to the owners of Koa Tails for their support with this event and their help with
making it such a great success. This event raised £645 {YE 2022.. £300).
Big Night Oui
Following the prior yearfs SuC￿S. The Big Nighl Out was again held at Ihe Sl James
Church cenlre. The TrUSt￿S would like to record Iheir thanks lo the St James Church
for the use of their facilities. The event was an inlormal night out including DJ.
entertainer. food. drinks and an auction. 11 was a successful event and raised a profit
of £4.620 (YE 2022.. £9.219).
Party In Playground
Party in Playground raised a healthy profit of £2.504 {YE 2022.. £3.6641. This event
was the same format as previous years. with slighl changes to the layout and some
additions such as a Micro Pigs pelting area and a balloon m(xJeller.
The PTA conlinued lo adopt a more environmentally friendly approach. as was
initiated in the prior year with prizes being given on Ihe slamps point basis, and
purchased reusable plastic cups lo be used at the event. Customers who purchased
drinks paid a detK)Sit for each cup. which was then refunded to them upon returning
Ihe cup. This was a small investment made by the PTA and Ihe cups will be used at
future events.
Second Hand Unifomi Sales
Two second hand uniform sale events were held al school (se￿ 22 and March 23)
and another was held in June 23, for new parentsjoining in Sep 23. As with prioryears.
the sales proved to be very popular with parents and raised a considerable amounl of
funds £684 {YE 2022: £6951 for the PTA.

Donations
This year the PTA received donations or sponsorship for specific events, such as
Christmas fair. The Trustees would like io t8ke this opportunity lo thank all those
individuals and businesses who, through Iheirdedication and hard w(Yk. have assisted
with making all Ihese evenls memorable and successful.
Future events
The PTA introduced a Circus to the event calendar for the following year. As the evenl
is being held early in the school year (Ocloberl. tickets sales went live in July 2023.
As a result, the funds raised in the current year include £2,326 generated from the
tickets sales for this evenl.
Analysis of Donations
Our events raised £21.842 of which a total of £3.479 was donated back to the school.
which paid for Items set out on page 3 of the financial statements.
Financial Summary
The PTA has ended the year with a cash balance of £59.715.

I report to the irusiees on my examination of the accounts of the Charity (￿he Trusy)
for the year ended 31 August 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As Ihe Charity's Irustees you are responsible for the preparalion of the accounts in
accordance with the requirerrents of the Charities Act 2011 (Ihe Acr).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trusys accounts carried out under section
145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all Ihe applicable
Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5) Ib) of the Acl.
Independent examinerfs statement
I have completed my examinalion. I confirm that no material malters have come to my
altention in connection wth Ihe examination giving me cause to believe that in any
material respect..
