Legal status
The North India Outreach Society is formed under a Deed of Trust dated 17 December 1985. It is a U.K. registered charity, with charity number 293441.

REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES
YEAR ENDED 05 APRIL 2023
The Trustees present their report and the unaudited financial statements of the Society for the year ended 05 April 2023.
Objectives of the Charity
The principal aims and objectives laid down in the Trust Deed are:

A) The Proclamation and Furtherance of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

B) To reach out to meet the needs of the people throughout North India in such ways as are charitable according to English Law and in particular to support the Charitable work of North India Outreach Society, a non-profit-making Charitable Body registered in New Delhi, India.
These aims and objectives are being fulfilled by the Charity as detailed below.
Investment powers and restrictions
The Declaration of Trust places no restrictions on the investment powers of the Trustees.
Public Benefit
The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the guidance on public benefit, published by the Charity Commission, in deciding what activities the Charity should undertake.
Review of activities and future developments
During the year, the Society received a very generous legacy of £137,766.
The Society continued to receive small Gift Aid and Other Donations from regular donors. Periodic grants are paid to North India Outreach Society (India) and such payments will be shown on page 4 when made. These payments support education, and ministry of Christian work and promotion of the Christian gospel in North India thus fulfilling the objectives of the Trust Deed. The Trustees are in the process of agreeing the timing of a fresh distribution policy in conjunction with the team in the Society in India
Reserves policy
The Trustees consider that it is prudent to hold funds within their UK bank and to make grants to North India Outreach Society (India) on a periodic basis.

Independent Examiners’ Report to the Trustees of The North India Outreach Society
I report to the Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Society”) for the year ended 05 April 2023 which consists of the Receipts and Payments Account for the year, and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities at the end of the year.
As the charity trustees of the Society, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Society’s accounts carried out under Section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in any material respect:
- ➢ accounting records were not kept in accordance with Section 130 of the Act; or ➢ the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
