Thornbirch LiTnited is a Company limited by guarantee governed by its Memorandum and Articles of
Association.

The Charity is administered by the Governors who are the Trustees. Every Tn]stee holds office until he/she
shall die or shall cease to hold office by virtue of the Articles of Association.
The day-lo-day affairs of the Company are administered by the Trustees wllose Chainnan is Mr E
Englander.
Where there is a requirement for new Trustees these would be identified and appointed by th¢ remaining
Trustees. The Chairman of the Tnjstees would be resp)nsible for the indii¢tion of any new Trustee, which
involves awareness of a Trustee's responsibilities, the governing document, administrnlive priKedures, the
history and philosophical approach ofthe Charity. A new Trustee would receive copies of the previous year's
annual report and accounts with dcthiled explanation thereof.
All Trustees t4ive their lime voluntarily 8nd no benefil or ¢xpenses were paid to them in the year.
OKTECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC
The Charities obj¢¢tives, as defined in lis governing d￿uMent, are the advancement of religion in
accordance with the orthodox Jewish faiih, the relief ofpoverty and such other purpose5 as are recognised
by English Law as Gliaritable. To achieve these objects, the CompAny ulilises its income to make 8rdn
and donations.
The Trustees confirni their complianc¢ with the duty to have due regard to the public benefil guidance
published by the Charity Commission when reviewing the Charity's aims and objectives and in planning
future activities.
Grant Mak¥n8 Policy
The Trustees are approached for donations by a wide variety of charitable institutions operaling in the
United Kingdom and abroad. The Trustee5 consider all requests which they re￿1ve and make donations
based on the level of funds available.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
During the year th¢ Company continued to pursue its philanthropic obj¢¢ts in support of educational.
religious and other Charitable Organisalions which is in accordance with the guidance of th¢ Charity
Commission relating to Public Benefit.
The financial results of the Company for ihe year endcd 31 March 2024 are fully reflected in th¢ attached
Financial Ststements together with the Notes thereon.

Income from donations and investments aggregated £800,155. Total resources expended were £804.090
resulting in a n¢t defi¢il of £3,935 for the year and total reserves of £12,180 (deficit) {2023- £8,245 (deficil)).
Reserves Pollcy
The Reserves Policy of the Trustees is to maintain unrestricted funds. which are the free reserves of the
Charity. at a level they consider Appropriate to the Chariry's needs tskin8 into account likely fulur¢
requiremenls.

The Trustees have identified and revicwed the major risks to which the Charity is exposed, in particular
those related to the operations and finance of th¢ Company and are satisfied ihat systems are in place to
manage those risks.
It is recognised that systems can only provide reasonable but not absolute assurance that major risks have
been adequately manag¢d.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND BASIS OF REPORT
As the trustees of the Company (and also its directors for the pUr￿}SeS of cO￿PanY law) you are respongible
for the preparation of the financial slalements in accordance with the requir¢ments of ihe Compani¢s A
2006 (Ihe 2006 Act.).
Heving satisfied myself that the accounts of the compaT)y are not required to be audited under Part 16 of ihe
2006 Act and are eligible for independeni examination. I report in respect of my examination of the charity's
account5 a5 carried out under section 145 of ihe Chariiies Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act,). In Carying out my
exainination I have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under 8e¢tion 145(5)(b) of the
2011 Act.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The charity is a private company limited by guarantee, ￿gIStered IT] England and Wa]e8 and a
registered charity in England and Wales. The address of the principal office is 129 Stamford
Hill. London N16 5TW.
STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE
These financial statements have been prepared in compliance with FRS 102. 'The Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and ihe Republic of Ireland,, the Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance wilh the
Financial Reporting Siandard applicable in ihe UK and Republi¢ of Ireland (FRS 102)
(Charities SORP (FRS 102)) and the Charities Act 2011.

The following accounting poli¢ie5 have been used consistently in the preparation of the
Financial Statements.
Basis of accounting
The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis, as modified by the
revaluation of certain financial assets and liabilili¢s and measured at fair value through income
or expenditure.
The financial 51atemenls 8r¢ prepared in sterlin8, which is the funclional currency of the entity.
Judgemen¢$ aDd key sources of estlmAtlon uncertalnty
The preparation of the finanoial staiements requires management lo make judgements,
estimates and assumptions that aff¢¢l the hmounts reported. These estim&l¢$ and judgements
are continually reviewed and are based on experien¢¢ and otlier factors, ineluding expectations
of future events that are believed io be reasonable under the circumstances.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted fund5 are available for use at the dis¢￿tIOn of the trustees to further any of the
charity's puryoses.
Designated funds are unrestricted funds eam)arked by the trustees for particular fijture project
or commitTnenl.
Restricted funds are subjected lo restrictions on their expenditure declara by the donor or
through the temis oran appeal and fall into one of two sub-classes.. restricted income funds or
endowment funds.

All incomin8 r¢source5 are included in the statement of financial activities when entitlement
has passed to ihe charity- it is probable that th¢ e¢onomic benefits associated with the
transaction will flow to the charily and the amount can be reliably measured.
Income from donations or grants is recognised when ihere is evidence of entitletnent to the gift,
receipt is pn)bable and its amount can be measured reliably. Donations represent voluntary
amounts receivable during the year.

CharltAble Activitie#
Grants are charged in the period in which paid. they Comprise donations to third-party
institutions in accordance with the charitable objects of th¢ charity and its public benefit
objectives.
Support costs
Support costs are those costs which are common to all ar¢8s of the organisation. These are
allocated across all a￿&S of activity on th¢ b&sis of the number of service users for each &ctivity.
Governance ¢ost8
Governance costs are associrlted with th¢ governance arrangements of the charity and relate to
the general running of the charity. These costs include audit, legal advice for Trustees and costs
associated with meeting constitutional And statulory requircmenls such as the cost of Trustee
meetings and ih¢ pr¢paration of the statutory accounts.
