## **Trustees’ Annual Report for the year ended 31[st] March 2021 Presented to the Annual General Meeting on 12[th] October 2021**

The Yealmpton Community Association has continued its work throughout a very difficult year when Covid19 prevented most community activities from being held. One of our key projects, publication of the Yealmpton Press, was able to extend its coverage to the entire village rather than to only subscribers with generous funding provided by Yealmpton Parish Council. This enabled vital information about the pandemic and local support to vulnerable members of the community to be disseminated effectively. Outdoor activities of ‘Bee Wild’ were able to carry on improving the appearance and ecology of the village and our befriending project, supporting the lonely and isolated in our area, maintained contacts as best it could. Men’s Shed also continued on a limited basis with strict measures to keep Covid-safe.

Income from the many regular hirers of the Community Centre was, of course, severely curtailed and the Association was reliant on the government funded Covid support grants to maintain its viability and consequently we remain in good financial health with adequate reserves to carry forward.

Opportunity was taken of the period of inactivity at the Community Centre to fully refurbish the kitchen after some 20 years of wear and tear so we are well equipped to rebuild our many social activities.

The Trustees team remains unchanged and would welcome new members to help run this important community facility.
