Structur4 Governance & Management
This tn￿t was establiskled by Martin Richard Harris by deed dated 29th March 1966. This
imposes no restrictions on the distribution of funds for cl]aritsble purposes.
The names of the trustees are set out on page I, together with the trust's address. They
served as trustees throughout the year. and are the sons of Martin Richard Harris.
objectiv￿ & Activities
The objective of the trust is to make doELatioDs and grants for charitable purposes for
activities that it supports and is interested in. These include charities involved for the public
benefit in medical research and care, social welfare. education, heritage and the arts, often in
the London Borough of Merton or where the other trustees live. The trustees choose these
charities at their sol¢ discretion. Some of the clwities are those with wbich the trustees are
involve( failing which the charities are knovm to them. The trustees consider they have
complied with their duty to have due regards to the Charity Commission's public benefit
guidance when exercising any powers or duties to which the guidanc¢ is r¢l¢vant.
The trust does not undertake any fund-raising activities and has no en]ployees.
THE POLICY OF THE TRUSTEES IS TO MAKE I)ONATIONS ONLY TO CHARITIES
OR FOR THOSE CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN WHtCH THEY ARE INTERESTED
AND NOT TO RESPOND TO UNSOLICITED APPEALS.
Achievements & PerformaDee
Dwing the year, the trustees made donations and grants of £32,340, over 50/0 more than l&st
year, and slightly Ic&s than th¢ incomc received during the year. The trustees WKII continue
to TeNryew tbe level of donations given to ll￿h the Trust's income.
Financial Review
The net assets as at 5th April 2023 are shown on pag¢ 4.
A SUETllW of receipts and payments for the year is given on page 5.
The Trust does not hold any &ssets as custodian on behalf of others.
The trnstees consider that the unrealised gain on tbe investLn¢nts, which cO[￿titute the main
Teserves of the charity. is not available for distribution. The tn￿lee$ eonsidcr that the
Ènvestments should maintsin both a suitable capital sum and a regular income to meet the
tn]st¢es' needs for the level of donations and grants they might wish to make.
Report approved by the trustees and signed on their behalf by
