Structure, governance and rnanagemenl
The charity was forme¢ by Trust Deed on 5 June 1985.
The Ch3ribe5 Act 2011 requires tre tmstees to ensu￿ that the charity keeps accounting ￿CordS ol all the
chantls transactions so a5 to disclose at any time. with reasonable accuracy. the financial position of the
charty at that tirne and to enable thern lo ensure that the financial 5tstements comply wth the d15closure
regulatsons The twstees are also responsible for Saf￿Uardlng the ¢harity's assets and hence for taking
re8son8ble steps for the prevention and detection of error, fraud and other irregularitie5.
Objectives and activities
The objects are to 8pply the capital and income of the trust fund exclusively for the advan￿Ment of the
Chn5tian gospel In Cambndge and elsewhere through the provision of funds to support in particular.
the teaching. pastoring. and counselling of students".
the training of young Christian stucjents,.
the provision of opportunibes for full-time and voluntsry Christian Servi￿ in the United ￿'ngdoM and
ovetseas.
The TnJst p3ys a grant to Sl Andrew the G￿al Church lofficial name Holy Sepulchre PCC Cambridge) to mver
the costs of Chrisban workers who are employed by that church to work among students. The Trust also rnakes
some direct grants to Individuals (often former students) who work lor the church as volunteer church Interns

The Truste&5 of the Jesus Lane Trust have had regard to the Charity Commi$510n's guidanee on public benefit
and. In partscxlar, the specific guidants on charitses lor the advan￿ment of ieligion.

The Trust's achievetnent5 In the year were lo continue lo perfortn the main activities as staled abovè
through giant-making
Financial review
The Trust has continued to re￿1Ve generous donations from both curient and past sludenl members ol St
Andrew the Great Church along with grant funding from a 5tnall number ol other charities.
The Trust continued to support the work of St Andfew the Great Church by paying a grant to that church to
cover the employment costs of five Student Workers (falling lo four from September 202318nd
contribution towards their accommodation costs, along with 8 proportion of the employment costs of
further worker relèting to PDSt graduale Student work The Trust paid grant5 directly lo five Church Interns
during the 2022123 academic year, falling to four for the 2023124 year.
The Trust also conbnued lo pay 8 grant to two International Intern5 and reitnbursed Sl Andrew the Great
Church for their living and training Costs The Trust received a restricted donation lor this purpose
The 5+ Club continued to ￿Trive a small number ol contributions- this Income is only applied lo the costs
lating to the Sludenl Pastor and the Student Workers An exercise has been undemay during the year to
reouest that donors move their 5+ restricted giving lo unrestricted giving lo support the student work ol Sl
Anttrew the Great mDre wdely and from January 2024 no further Income received will have the 5+
restri¢iion
Reserves policy
The Jesus Lane Trust IJLTI liaises wth staff at St Andiew the Great Church Con￿rning provision
for Student Worker5 and volunteer ministry Interns and seeks to generou$1y grant fund this work The Trust
also employs a JLT Partner Relations Managei for six hours pei week The Trust has no other significant
expenses.
Level of ￿serveS held
At least tr¢elve month's worth of expenditure should usually be kept In reserves lo cover upcoming grant
funding lexduding the grant funding for Inlem8tion£l Interns which Is fully funded by a restricted donalionl.
The trustees 8gree the level of grant funding lor each year in order to maintain sufficient reserves and
ensure that th15 funding can be continued at a generou5 level for future years.
Going concern
The Trustees have reviewed the accounts and considered the going Con￿rn of the charity and have not
Jentsfieoj any unTrrtaintses about its ability to contnue as a going cOn￿rn.

I report in respecl ol my examination ol Ihe Trust's accounts carried out undèr section 145
ol the 2011 Act and in carrwng out my examinalion I have followed all the applicable
Directions given by the Charity commis￿0￿ under section 14515llbl of th& Act.
Independent examlner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come lo my
attention in connection with the examinalion giving me cause to believe Ihal in any material
respect..
1. the accounting records were not kept in respect of Ihe Trust as required by section 130 01
the Acl., or
2. thè aecounts do not accord with those records.. or
3. the accounts do nol comply with the applicable requiremenls concerning the form and
content ol accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other
than any requirewent that thè aceounts give a 'true and lair view which is nol a matter
considered as part ol an independenl examination.
I have no concerns and have Corne across no other matters in connection with the
