Numbers have dropped slightly for Ihe n&w academic year, wth 176 pupils on roll at 1 st September 2023. This
often happens due lo a large Y11 cEass 18aving and a smaller YO dass joining. Numbers often then build during
the year as gaps in classes are filled. Despite the drop over summer. numbers are still ahead of growth tsrgels

Audttors. responslbllitles for the audit of the financial statements
We have been apwnted 8s audTrtor under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and report in accordance with
the AGI and relevant regulations made or having effect there¥Jnder.
Our objectives are lo obtain reasonable assurance abcmjl whethei the financial statements as a whole are free
from material misslalement, whether due lo fraud or error. and to issue an Auditors. Report that incfudes our
opinion. Reasonable assurance is a high level of assurance. but is not a guaranlee Ihat an aLsdil conducted in
accordance with ISAS {UKI will always detect a material misstatement when il exists. Misstalemenls can arise
from fraud or error and are considered material if. individually or in the aggregate, they could reasonably be
expected lo influence the economtc decisions of users taken on the basis of Ihese financi81 statements.
Irregularilies, induding fraud. are instances of non-compliance ￿￿th laws ané regulations. We design pr(Kedures
in line with our resFK)nsibilities, outlined above, lo delect material misslatemenls in r85pecl of inEgularilies,
including fraud. The extent to which our procedures are capable of detecling irregular(li8s. including fraud is
detailed below..
Based on our understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks that are applicable to the entity we have
considered those that have a direct and indirect material impact on the financial statements and operations of
the company. These include but are not limited to the Charities Act 2011. GDPR. and Employrrkenl and Health &
Safety legislation.
We obtained an understanding of how the company are complyTng wlh Ihose legal and regulatory frameworks by
making inquiries lo the managemen*. We coNoboraled our inquirfres through our review of documentation
generated and assessing the extent of Compliance wth the relevant laws and regulations.
We discussed among the audit engagement team reg2rding the opwrtunilies and incentives, induding
management override of controls, Ihal may exist wthin the organisation for Iraud and how and where fraud mighl
occur in the financial slatemenls.
As a result of perfomiing the above. we idonlrfied the greatest potential for material misstatements due lo fraud
are in the following areas, and our speafic procedures perfomied to address these are described below..
The risk of management override of controls is the area where the financial stslements were most susGeptible to
material misstalemenl due to fraud. In addition, the key wincipal risks related lo the existence of inappropriate
journal enlries lo impact the profil for the year and management bias in accounting estimates.
Procedures performed to address these wero as follows:
Idenlifwng and assessing the design effectiveness of controls management has in place lo prevent and delect
fraud, including known or suspected instances of non-CA)mpliance with laws and regulations. and fraud.,
Understanding how those charged wlh govemance considered and addressed the potential for override ol
controls or other inappropriate influence over the financial reporting process-
Challenging assumptions and Judgements made by management in ils significanl accounting estimates.,
Identifying and lesling joumal entrtes, in particular any unusual journal entries posted around the year-end and
journal entries posted by infrequent system users.. and
Ensuring that funds have been classified ￿1rre￿ty.

Because of the inherent limitations of all audtt. there is a risk that we will not detect all irregularities, including
those leading to a malertal misslalemenl in the financial statements or non<ompliance wilh regulation. Thls risk
increases the more that compliance wlh a law or regulation is removed from the events and transactions
reflected in the finanaal statements, as we wll be less likely to become aware of instances of non-compliance.
The risk is also grealer regarding irregularities occutrirkg due to fraud rather than error, as fraud involves
intentional o)ncealmenl, forgery, collusion, omission or mi5represenlation.
A further d&scriplion of our responsibilities for Ihe audit of fhe finanual statements is loGaled on the Financial
