Dlrectors. Responsibilltle$
Company Law which is also applicable to charitsble companies in England and Wales requires the directors, who are
also trustees of the company. to prepare financlal statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of
the state of affairs of the company and of the resu￿$ of the companyfor that year.

with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for
taking reasonable steps for the prevention and delection of fraud and other irregularities.
Principal Actlvity
The principal object of the company continues to be lo promote, maintain. improve and advance the education Df the
public in the arts and in particular the arts of drama and other audio￿lSu31 arts associated wlh the theatre.
Organlsatlon and Constitution
The company is registered as a charitsble company limited by guardnleg and was set up by a Memorandum and
Articles of Association on 21st December 1983.
The company is limit￿ by guarantee and has no share capttal. The guarantees of individual members are limited lo £1.
The management of the company is the responsibility of the trustees who a￿ elected and co-opted under the temis
of the Articles of Association.
One third of the trustees resign at each AGM bul are eligible for ￿lect￿)n by the membership.
On election lo the board. trustees are inducted by the staff of the company on a one-t(￿ne basis and a￿ given the
following., a copy of the Memorandum Articles of Association,. the company handbook containing all written
policigs and procedures,. the booklet The Responsibilty of Chanty Tnistees, published by the Charity Commission.
The trustees meet to decide on general strategy. on projects that may be undertaken and on fijnding that may be
sought. Day-to4ay running of the company is managed by J Pascal. The trustees have not identified any related
parties other than the tnjstees Ihemsefves.

Overview
The year was splil beiween adventurous outreach in the North West and ￿nSOl1daIi0n in London. We lOu￿d lo Blackpool
and Manchester in April 2023.
Juli8 Pascal's pjay. A ManclJest8r Girthood. premiered in April at The Old Electri¢ Theatre, Blackpool and the Marthgster
Jew$h Museum Pascal hejd creative textile workshops.
Followng the Lancashire tour, the productton ma(le its London debLrt at JW3 in May.
PERFORMANCES 8LACKPOOL. MANCHESTER, LONDON
A Manchester GiAhood explored the lives of three Manchest8r daughters of Romanian Jewsh immigrants as they
matured from five lo 85 years of age. This tour. supporteil by thè Shoresh Charitable Trust, resulted in th& Company
ac¢essing new, regional audIen￿S and widened our educab.onal and artistic outreach. A talented casL L8sley LightfooL
Eoin O'Dubghaill, Rosie Yadid and Giselle Wolf, attracted acclaim for their perfomiances.
The Old Electric and the Manchester Jewish Museum welcomed our rx)ntril)ution lo their programming. As a result of
warm audience responses, we have formed strong rektionships.
In January 2024, we presented a semi-staged reading of Theresa lo mark Holocaust Men￿rIal Day al Burgh House,
Hampslead. The event sold out.. we were invited bad( in June 2024 for Refugee Week.
A LARGE HERITAGE PROJECT Women for Women."19 century Bloomsbury
Consolidation of our large-scale project Women for Women. funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund, continued to
offer a variety of elements to new audiences.
We purchased a bench from Camden Counctl and placed it in St George's Gardens. Th¢s hOnOu￿ Bloomsbury women
who achieved so much to advance girfs and women's education.

The charity has no investments.
Assets
The movemert in fixed assets is shobvn in Note 7 to the accounts.

The company und&rtakgs periodic revIeV￿ for different areas of risk induding insurance cov8r. health and saf6ty policies
in thè workplace and whilst performing, working with vulnerAbla adults, yo￿ng Children, finaiiGial affairs, personnel
Pra¢U￿s, ICT iechnolo9y. Also D81a prots¢lionlEqualty and DiVerstylA￿SsrbIlty.
Tho Trustees a¢kno￿edge that the management of risks fa¢ed by the company is a prime responsibilty. The Tnjslees
are sallsfied that systems are in place to mitigate the major risks.
Re$erves policy
The trustees have fomiulated a policy lo ensure that suificient reseryes are retained to meet staff and Contingency costs
when these arise. These reseNes are also available to enablè the wmpany lo signifi￿n￿Y scale down tts operations
should that bè necessary. The trustees ￿ntInUe lo take steps to ensurè that reserves are bu1￿ to an appropriate level.
Pascal Theatre Company aims lo kèep al least three months. in re￿TveS.Th1S is cal(xJlated at minimum nJnning costs
0118k month￿. Therefore aim to have al least £54,000 reservtrs available.
As at the year end the company had £58.738 Restrided Reserves and £31.573 Unrestricted ReseNes.

We are an arts organisation and we use arts professionals to engage %Mth dwse comrwnilies for public beneffts. We
understand that the Creative arts are essenb'al for mental and physiczl wellbeing. Our practi￿ is to furthar this connèction
between arts and good health.
The trustees have considered this matter and concluded..
