Thè Iruslees have a duty lo safeguard the charity's assets and to ansure that the charity has adequate

Objectives and activities
Goneral objectives
The Obj￿1$ of the charity arg lo advance the GTegd Orthodox faith, to advance public education to
relieve poverty. sickness and disliess and to provide facili(ies in the interest of the social welfare for
recreation and lèisure lime activities with the aim of improving the condition of lrfe for the inhabitants of
the London Brogue of Hackney and its onvirons.
W&koming and Hospitalty
The charty has actively encouraged and implemented a policy which wolcomes everybody regardless
of ethnicity and social background who wish lo worship and actNaly participate in the chariws current
and future ath"vrties.
FurKI raising activities
Through variou5 cuttural aclivits'8s and evants such as organising Dinner and Danc8 and other furKI
raising evenl$,the charity manage to rais8 a substantial amount of funds through hard work and
sincere Christian Brotherhood. All the charity'8 activities revolv8 around the advancing of the Greek
Orthodox Christian faith and to promote social wewarè and provide as8iSt8nce to those who ne￿ Il
most.
The commrttee is open and welcrxne5 new Kleas to improve and incwse fund ralslng.
Achlevemènts and perfomiance
The charity organi8es fund raising events and various re1￿lOuS festivals throughout the year and
managed lo raised funds for tha improvements and repairs to the existing Church building. During the
current year, the trustees worked to maintain tha focus ot the trusV5 activities as laid out in its
objectives. These objectives are the provision ol services for the local community, the under8tanding
of the Gra8k Orthodox faith, the leaching anrj promotion of Greek language, culture and èthos. It also
provKles support to members of the cc*nmunily in need through the work of the Ladies Auxiliary
cM)mrttee which provides entertainments and meals to those who a￿ eljerly and vulnerable, as well
a$ bcrth visiting and comforting p8ople in hospitais.

Total receipts on unrestricted fund5 We￿ £50,654 which £17,279 was allccated for wages f￿d salarles
and £6.955 was spent on caretsker and cantor costs.
The resutts for the period arè shosvn on page 5 to 6 together with the attached notes on pag85 7 to 13
in the xcounts. The charity hes exceptionally registered a n8110ss of £25.679 of donations received
over expenditure incJJrred whKh was offset against the ¢haritls unrestrictsd re8eNes.
