Borden Parish Hall Charity number 291838

Trustees’ report 2023-2024

The charity provides premises for use by casual and regular hirers. Casual hiring can be for example:

Regular hirers are mainly sport clubs: tennis, short mat bowls, badminton, Pilates. We also have an embroidery club.

The charity’s revenue comes from hiring charges and is used to pay for running costs and the maintenance of and repairs to the building.

Occasionally we apply for grants if we have particularly expensive repairs to be done.

In 2023-2024, we applied for and obtained a grant of £12238. However, the total maintenance and repairs for the year - including the refurbishment of the toilets - was £30779, which why we made an in-year loss of £11371.
