Thè Wykeham Cèntr8 and Church House was 8Stablishgd by a trust deed dated 10 July 1909, which has since bgen amended by a scheme sealed by order of the Charity Commi&sioners of Engknd & Wales dated 20 June 2007. Appointment of trustees, induction, and training Th8r8 has been an average of tsvo trustees throughout the perlod. Any naw appointments are at the recommendation of the board. The board meets on a regular basis to enact the running of the Charty. The Trustees are the Incumbent of SL Edward's Church (whil8 in p(Et) together with the two Churchwardens of said church. The Churchwardens are elected at the church APCM each year and they can sevle for a maximum of six years. All new trustees are given, in the view of the board, sufficient training and have enough knowledge of their specific field to understand the nature of the charity and fully compty with the charitys current views of its progression. Objectlves and actlvltles The objects of charity are that tts prop8ty shall be held and used for the purpose of furthering the religious and other charitable work of the Church of England in th8 ecclesiastical parish of Romford. THE WYKEHAM CENTRE AND CHURCH HOUSE Regrstw8d charity number 291485 Summary of the main achievaments durfng th• yoar During 2025 the Charity hosted weekly Junior Church and Playgn>up sessions on ￿half of St Edward's Church. The Wykeham Hall was used for a few charity events as w811 as being hired out for private use, such as birthday parties, baby showers and prfrweckling parties. Durlng the year, the Wykeham Hall was also used for Sunday semces by three separate Churches. Up until October, The Collier Row & Romford Foodbank used the Wykeham Hall for one session week Thay have PJinc8 moved to different premises with improved access for volunteers and clients. However, we Contin￿ to support the Foodbank with donations from church members. The downstsirs area of Church House was hired out for use by sever81 organisations, including a regular Ukrainian communty group and for other communty or church 6vents. The parish office of St. Edward's Church is locat8d in Church House and senior clergy from the Diocese l Deanery will use ChurGh Hou88 for occasional meetings as well. The w￿8harn Centre, both the Hall and Church House. is rK)t onty a vital support in St. Edward's Church, mission and ministry to the cornmunty of Romford, but also in its day to day running of the church. Flnancial R•viow Financial position The charity had overall net incoming resources of £59,293 before the transfer to St Edwanls PCC, (2024 - £39,876). R•servas Pollcy The balance of general reserves at the end of the year was £34,098, {2024 - £30,805). It is the trustee's policy to maintain reserves to finance the next ithY> montts expenditure.
