LMO is committed for enabling as many people as possible to worship at our church and to become part of our Maronite Parish community at our Lady of Lebanon. LMO maintains an overview of worship throughout the parish and makes suggestions on how its services can involve the many groups that live within our parish. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer and scripture, music and sacrament of the Maronite rite. 

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

When planning our activities for the year, the incumbent and LMO consider specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion in enabling Maronites from all backgrounds to live out their faith as part of our parish community through. 

- Worship and prayer, learning about the Gospel, developing their 

- knowledge on the Maronite Liturgy and trust in Jesus. 

- Provision of pastoral care for the existing people in our parish and the 

- newly arrived from Lebanon or from other countries around the world. 

- Missionary and outreach work. 

- Loving outreach in the Youth who are believed to be the future investment to LMO. 

Year 2021 was the year of challenges and adaptation to the new way of living as the world was still recovering from the pandemic Covid-19. 

As a Religious Order we had to gather strength, capabilities and creativity in providing all parishioners with physical, mental and spiritual support.

Achievements and performance 

## Section D 

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

## **Events and Activities Team** 

Due to the impact of Covid-19 we didn’t have many activities. The only activity we had was a BBQ gathering on the occasion of Father’s Day which was quite successful. 

## **Fraternity of the Immaculate Conception** 

FOTIC is the group in charge of decorating and cleaning our Church all year long. They organise the celebrations of our Roman Catholic Calendar feasts days. 

## **Our Lady of Lebanon Vanguards** 

Group aged between 12 and 17 founded to keep a strong bond between the youth and the Church. They hold weekly meeting , take minutes and post their discussions on the Parish Facebook page. 

## **St Charbel’s Family** 

The Family meet every 22[nd] of the month with the priest. 

## **Ladies Committee** 

This is an age group of 45 years and over. They assemble socially through events which they organise during the year.They assist the priest in the daily Rosary recitation. 

## **Church Choir** 

## **Arabic School** 

The school operates Saturdays only from 9:30 to 13:30 for students agend 5 up to GCSE level.
