I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5)Ib) of the Act. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial position at the end of the period Para 1.21 Income was up on 2022 due lo legacies and transfer of funds from the Friends of BLF. Donations have been received from some of our patients and Iheii relatives. Expenditure is down on previous years as salaries are no longer funded from this charity, however cost of has increased costs incurred. Our financial policy has been lo keep the bulk of the income on monthly Treasury Deposit with the rest in current and instant accounts lo meet our expenditure. We have a Business Premium account that automatically transfers money from our current alc to an inleresl bearing alc. Our costs fluctuate as the costs of reagenls and service contracts vary therefore the Iruslees policy is lo hold reserves of around 12 months of forecast expenditure. 12 months period gives the BLF lime lo scale back or plan new fund- raisin schemes.
