The trustees present their annual report and financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31[st] March 2023.
Structure, governance and management
The trust is a registered charity and is governed by its constitution. The administration and control of the Trust and its assets shall be vested in the Board of Trustees. The Board will consist of six Trustees except in the event of a vacancy caused through death, retirement, illness, incapacity or absence. In these circumstances, the vacancy will be filled by unanimous nomination of the remaining Trustees. At any meeting of the Board, three members of the Board shall constitute a quorum, with entitlement to one vote on any decisions except amendment to the constitution, which requires five members.
Objectives
The objective of the charity is to apply the profits and assets of the Trust towards general charitable purposes, including but not restricted to, relief of malnutrition, hunger, relief provisions in natural disasters, care for the elderly, provide education to under privileged children, and run medical camps in very poor parts of the world. These will be undertaken through direct funding of the activities or via providing grants to other charities that meet the objective stated.

Activities and performance
During the year, the trust did not directly get involved in charitable activities in India, nor provided direct funding for any activities in India. This is due to the stricter rules for any payments to a charity in India or making payments to suppliers in India through the trust. To continue with the charitable objectives stated, the trust gave grants to a registered charity in the UK to fulfil the objectives of the trust. The affiliated charity has the resources and capabilities to ensure regulatory compliance whilst undertaking activities in India.
Financial review
The financial statements on page 5 gives details of the current state of affairs of the Trust. The Trust does not have any specific policy for unrestricted funds other than to use the funds for the objectives stated in the constitution. The Trust does not hold any restricted funds.
In the financial year, donations of £29,932 were received, including a single donation of £10,000. Disbursements of £34,500 were grants given to a UK registered charity, BEHT.
