**Objects:** (I) TO PRESERVE, RESTORE AND MAINTAIN COLAHOUSE FORT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC. (II) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE GENERAL HISTORY OF COASTAL DEFENCE FORTIFICATIONS WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE INCEPTION AND DESIGN OF COALHOUSE FORT AND ITS SUBSEQUENT DEVELOPMENT.

**Activities:** To actively maintain and conserve a scheduled ancient monument.To promote the fort, encourage new members and present the fort to the public during open days.To research the history of the fort up until its closure in the 1960's.To display the findings of the research during opens.To encourage school parties studying history as part of the curriculum.
