partiCAJlar needs, sueh as ex-prtsoners and others who require soft￿ rehabilitation care lo enable them eventual
lo live independèntly in the wider communty. We strwe to provide high quality services that meet the aspirations
and needs ol single homeless people from all backgrounds, creed and colour.

To rnanage and improve in Bognor Regis and elsewhere houses and hostels for persons specified in
the Constitution. and to provide them with care and security lo wh￿h they are entiued
To educate such persons to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacib'es, so that they may

lffe may be improved
To have secure premises that serves their purpose

homeless in our society
The Trustees confimi that they have complied with the duty in section 17151 of the Charities Act 2011 to have
due regard lo the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit.
Athievements and perfonnance
nor Housing Trust continues with ils work lo help address the problems that homelessness creates in our
iety. The need for our services continues to increase, and, our occupancy rates continue at a high I￿e1.
Throughout the year our 25 supported units were ¢xcupied by a total of47 clients12024.' 60 clients). l am pleased
to reFrJrt that there were 22 12024.. 351 client rnoves from our aC￿mMOdatIOn during the year, of whirh 87%
{2024.' 880/0) were planned, thus enabling 1912023.- 311 positive outcomes as a result of our support programme.

original Supportin9 People Progiamme. Our G￿r￿nt contrad runs until 31st March 2026, and inity'al Ydlks are iaking
pLqce at present regarding contracts from April 2026 onwards. l am pleased lo ￿POrt that WSCC continue to
acknowledge that our serVI￿S are fun al an exceplDnally high level. and that Bognor Housing Trust is a
significant osset in addressing homelessness in th8 area.

a￿ ¢￿tinuai￿ doing everything possible to ensure that our residents aré protected and kept safe.
Bojnor Housing Twst works alongside both national and tc¢al voluntary organisations and statutory agencies.
The chanty is also gratefijl to our Trustees who give their valuabl8 time freely and make Bagnor Housing Trust an
organEai'on that we are all proud of, and glad to support.
Financlal revlew
Thè results of the tharity are set out in the Statement of Financial ActNit*s.
The total income in the year was £376,330, an increase of £3.993 over the previous year. The total expenditure
wa5 £290,495. belng an increase of £27,753 over the previous year. The overall increase in funds in the year was
£85,835, and thg total of unreslrthd ￿serveS at the year-end amounted to £1,681,939 ofwhich £943,797
repres8nted Fixed Assets.
Reserves
A restticted fund has tX3en sel up by the Iruslee5 for a Specif￿ purpose. The fund total is £395. The balance is the
Klual amount held in respect of a donation of £500 received from Sussex Police in the year ended 31 March
2022. The donation is restricted to be spent only on furniture etc. for clients moving on from our supported
accnrnmodab'on.
11 ts the policy of the charty that unrestricted liquid funds which have not been desionated foi a specif￿ use should
be mantsined at a level equivalent lo at least NYeEve month's expenditure.. this is lo allow the ¢haTity lo te

The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charty is exposgj and are satisfied that systems are in

The charity plans continuing with those activities outlined above, which are still ongoing. in the forthcoming years
subject to salisfa¢tory funding arrangements. In additiotl the Trustees contsnue lo ieview the posslbllilies in
acquiring further propety. or carying out other services which would enhance and extend the services currently
available.

Structurej governanGe and management
Bognor Housing Trust was founded in 1984 in Bognor Regis. The trust is an unincorporated association
govemed bv ils own Constitution. first adopted on 22 March 1984 and amended on 19 August 2003,
subsequenlty on 8 December 2009. The trust IS 8 regISte￿d charity in accordance with the Charities AGI 2011-
Charity Registrab"on No. 289596.
The Sussex West Area meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) will receive nominations and
submit the names of up to 6 people to be wnsidered for membership of the Executive Committee. When one of
the mernbers so appointed ceases to be a mernber of the Executive CDmmittee, the Sussex Wesl Area Meetin9
will re￿1ve rominations and submit the name of a replacement person lo be considered for membership to the
Executive Committee. The appointment of members to the Executive Committee must be approved by at least
four fifths of the Execulwe Committee.
Thè injstses of the charity are responsible for ihe overall management and control of the ¢harily and receive
reports and recommendations from the Treasurer and other members of staff at regular Executive Committee
Meetings. Trustees of the charity hold offic8 from the time of appointment by the Executive Committee. The
Chaiman and other offiGers of the charty musl sgek reolection at every third annual general meeb'ng
thereafter.
Al seNing trustees are alwady familÉar with the practrcal work of the charity. Potential new trustees, who ar8
selected for their strengths and diversity that they will be able to bring to the Board, are invited and encouraged to
spend some lime at our premises lo familiarize themse￿8$ With the charty and the context within which il

2. PAYMENTS TO TRUSTEES
The trustees are not remunerated nor were they reimbursed any exFenses in the year {2024- £01.
R A Kaveney FCA was paid £23.93612024.' £22,897) for professional fees in the year relating to
a¢o)untancy and Pay￿11 services supplied by hls company. Such payment is aulhorised in the
Constitution of Bognor Housing Trust.
