Duke street Evangelical Ihurch Trustees Report 2023 / 2024 C)uke 5t Evangelical Church is situated in the Castle Ward of Northampton. which is ranked as one of the poorest areas in our town. We are situated in an area near The Hope (homeless) Centre as well as specially designated housing area for those with acute mental health needs. The activity of the church continues to make an impact for the needy in our local area and further af ield. A large percentage of our congregation live within walkin9 distance of the church. The maiority of the activities, which contribute to the life of the church were carried out by unpaid volunteers. These include litter pickin9. monthty sunday lunch, Church Away-day to name a few activities outside of the weekly sunday service at Duke Street. During the 5undoy service, we continue to be supported by external speakers, who receive a nominal donotion towards their travel expenses. Our Church building is used many times through the year by other churches who make use of the baptism pool. A Tamil Church also has use of the building on Sunday afternoon for their own worship service. The incomes and expenditures f or the year generoted a surplus of £7.280.00. all of which will be used for the on90ing pursuit of the charity's aims.
