Treasurer’s Report
Annual General Meeting - 12[th] March 2023

➢ Accountant signed off the accounts for year ending 31[st] December 2022 on the 23[rd] February 2023, with no material matters of concern. Cost remained at £120.00.

➢ In year surplus of £7220.86, an increase from 2021 which had a surplus of £3934.05.

➢ The charity has no employees and therefore no payments over £60,000 for pay are made.
Income
-
➢ Received a total income of £34,258.90, of which £20,000 was a bequest. Her generous donation has been acknowledged.

➢ Membership income remained static with members not renewing being balanced by new members.

➢ Donations from members has increased by approximately £1500, this doesn’t include donations received for Stan’s (Blue) treatment. Specific donations received for his care was £1650.62.

➢ Significantly more dogs re-homed this year, income received increased from £1250 in 2021 to £4000.

➢ Amazon Europe commission has increased but Paypal Giving was less for 2022.

➢ Gift Aid claims to June 2022 have been paid, claims for 2021 and 2022 delayed due to submission error.

➢ With the increase in Bank Interest rates and the larger bank balance the amount of interest received has increased.
Expenditure
-
➢ As known Stan’s veterinary costs have been the largest expenditure for 2022, £13,452.80 being spent to 31[st] December 2022.

➢ One off costs incurred setting up the fund raising appeal for Stan, through Crowd Funding and Just Giving.

➢ With the increased number of dogs needing support fostering and kennel costs have increased this year. A kennel is now being held for NGDR use at Corton at a cost of £15.00 per day. Kennel costs for 2022 were £3352.50 and in 2021 £1443.00.

➢ Vets costs, excluding Stan have also been higher than recent years, rising to £5397.09 from £136.98 in 2021.

➢ Public Liability insurance costs have increased.

➢ Increased costs for general administration, including postage, printer costs and stationery.
Summary
-
➢ As predicted the number of dogs needing support in 2022 has increased.

➢ Although the end Bank Balance is still positive, funds held at 31[st] December 2022 were £44,145.81 an increase from 2021 (£36,924.95) without the large bequest the year end balance for 2022 would have been a deficit of £12,779.14.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity ("the Trust") for the year ended 3111212022. Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below ") which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements Conrning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
