The report on the accounts of St. Michael and All Angels. Great Tew for the year ended 31
December 2020, which are set out on the following pages, is in respect of an examination carried out
under Regulation 3131 of the Church Accounting Regulations 1997 and S. 43 of the Charities Act
1993.
Respective Responsibilitie5 of Trustees and Examiner
As the trustees of the Friends. you are responsible for the preparation of the account5,' you consider
that the audit requirement of Regulation 3131 of the Church Accounting Regulations 1192 and
Section 43121 of the Charities Act 1993 (the Actl do not apply. It is my responsibility to issue this
report on those accounts in accordance with the terms of Regulation 25 of the Church Accounting
regulations 1997 and Regulation 7 of the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 1995.
Ba515 of Independent Examlnerfs Report
My examination was carried out in accordan￿ with the General Directions given by the Charities
Commissions under Section 4317llbl of the Act and to be found in the guidante from the CBF. That
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Friends of St. Michael and a
comparison of the accounts with those records. It also includes considering any unusual items or
disclosures in the accounts and Seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required of an
audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examinerfs Statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements
To keep accounting records in accordance with Section 41 of the Act,. and
To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting reports and to comply with the requirements
of the Act, a5 contained in the Church Accounting regulations 1997 have not been met.
St. Michael and All Angels Accounts certified in accordance with the books and vouchers presented
to me.
