It is nowthe last remaining college in the UK to offer the four-year voc3tion31 training in Eurythfflyi which lays the foundaiions for a career in this art of fflovement. In the a￿demiC year 2024-25. both of our camwses were involved in the training of students as well as the promotion ol eurythmy through public performances and Short Courses. (See details below). Our annual education oversight inspection, undertaken by Maillland Education in aUt￿mn 2024, concluded that Eurythrny UK continued to meet all UKVI Standards. This meant that in addition to domestic eandidates we were able ro attr￿t international S*￿ernts and volunteers to join us. We broadened the sel￿tIOn of short CDurses and applied for fundlng ¢0 employ a publicity worker during the Spring Isummer months 2025. Equipped with first-hand knowledge of eurythm¥ 3nd our target audlence. the publlciiy worker publici5ed our courses to relevant schools. college5 and organisations in the UK and abroad. We a150 obtained grants from a liktrminded charity to as515t low-income students with their tuit¢on fees. Our fourth-yetyr students were the first ones to benefit from thls arrangement and it will no doubt to become a lifÉts"ne for new r￿rUits. . PEredur. Sussex In the academic year 2024125 there were 5 students at the Peredur Eurythmy Campus, all in the lourth and final year of their training. The central Subjects of study were, as alway5, the various 3spects of Speech and Music Eurythmv. CDmplementin8 these were our on-going sessions in form-drawing, painting and sculpture, rnu51C theory & sin8ing. a5 well as C￿atiVe speech and drama, and a weekly review and study session. All of these diKiplinÈs strongly 5UPPOrt the development of the students, work. We also added a weekly session of readin8 R. Steinerfs letture cycle on Speech Eurythmy together, to support the prattical work. At each end of term, all students wesented their work publicly to the local community, which is èn important part of their learning proces5. It also allowsthe public èn insi£ht into our work in a mor4 intimate way. All our students had the opportunlty to spend tlrne at our local Steinerlwaldorf Sch{￿1, eneagin8 In observation and teachinE prartice for future eurythmy teaching. This built on the previous year's eurythmy pedagogy Input. This year we carried our summer 2024 producilon of the lairy-tale'The Ma8ic Ball" over into Decetnber for our much anticipated annual 'Winrer Festlval" integrating a group Df local children into the happening. We carried on performing the 5t(Ky extensively, also bringing it to our friends at 'Nutley Hall,, a residential selting for adults with CoM￿eX needs and at Michael Hall School in Forest Row. Thè outreach towards, and involvernent with. the local community through these and similar activities carrie5 on being of immense importsnce to us as a charity and represenis valuable learning opportunities for our student5 at the same time. Students worked intensively on their 8raduation pro8ramme5. The evening prograrntne was entitled "The Dance Weaves under the Firethorn" and the children's progratntne told the story of "The Three Oran8es" In addition, the studpnt5 each worked on two solo yeces. one showing their skill in Speech Eurythtny and onE presenting th*r music- eurythmy skills. During this work students also learned more about costuming and how to adapt this to fit the individual student. From there ihoy flew to Germany, where they presented a selection of thèir work at"Forum Euryrhmie" in Witten. on their return they performed rnore locally, before presenting their work ai the Goerheanurn Switzerland and taking part at the international Euryrhmy-gradu3tes meeting. They then took their progr3rnme5 to Ireland and London, before their training culminated in iheir graduati¢>n performance at the Peredur Centre in mid-july. The newly formed stagè group concentrated Dn a tour to Oenmark in February, where they performed their new programme"To the Dark Tower a rendering of the ancienr tale of Childe Rowland also incorporating poetry by Chesterton and Muir a5 well as music by Scarlatti, Chopin and Brinch. Next StOP5 were Flong KonB, China and Taiwan. Here we added another delighrful Taiwanese story for all the children's programmes.. Th& Mouse's Bride,, performed in total 11 times to delighied child￿n, '5hakespeare's Fool, was performed 7 times,, there were numerous workshop5 for children and parents. Returning rnid-November, we quickly needed to provide a new story for our Chrisrmas F3yre at the Glasshouse College,. we ¢hosÈ'Rumpelstilskin'. The students pÈrformed part of their graduation poems and music at the Rern2mbTance Festival. The Christmas ond-of-term concluded with the 4th veise of the Foundation Stone Verse. In the new year, the first request from the Glasshouse College was to perform for Candlemas on 2lld February. This festiV3101 light returning from the darkness, we telebrated with a Chinese poem as well as St. Francis Cantide to the Sun, and a Chorale by ￿Ch. The request for thi5 carne from Elizabeth Carrnack, founder of The Carnbridge Music Conference, who had commissioned pieces fTom Several composer5 over the years. ThiÈe composer5 featured in the prograrnrne were present. leading lively discussions as partof ihe conference. 14th July marked the arrival of 4 delightful1adies from Taiwan. who Came for an intensive 8-vJeek eurythmy training with Rita. MareTr and help from Alan our pianist to complete their trainin& began on a part-time l)asis in Taiwan. For 2 weeks durine this Summer, together with professional acting expert Sarah Kane. we opened the doors for people seekin8 a refresher course in eurythmy. speech and atting. 8 peotle, trdined eurythmists, students and an actor joined us. In the middle of August, Maren flew to China, when a colleague Peiling Chao took on the le3chlnB of the Taiwanese students. In China an intensive sufflrner school took place zs a preparation for the beginning of a new part-time Eurythmy Training in Xian. On 6th September the 4 hard-workingTaiwanese students presented a deli8htful grauation programme and received their well-deserved eurythrny diploma. On 15th Septembor the stage group performer5 returned to etnb3rk on a new programme towards honourin8 Dur second invitation to the'world Cultural Festival, in Karachi. Here we will also offera post-graduate course, which prepares its participants for teathing eurythsry at Steinerrnaldorf schools whilst deepening their knowledge of pedagoey and the art Itself. The Eurythmy West Midlands Qmpus will focus on 5ta£e/performance work and other initiative5. Both settings will conttnue to reach out to the public and promote the art of eurythmy.
