Trustees Annual Report with Accounts 6 April 2023 to 5 April 2024
Trustees are pleased to report another positive year for Ford Youth and Community Centre, which we are very proud of.
That is not to say we were not without our challenges; a cost-of-living crisis affecting individuals, rising energy costs and the reduction in support has meant we have still faced financial challenges.
However, we have been determined to ensure we not only continue to deliver sessions that support the individuals who train with us but that we also work even harder to provide more services that can help even more people. This is credit to the ongoing commitment and professionalism of our self-employed coaches in the gym and our two volunteer martial arts instructors.
In terms of funding in 2023/24, we were successful in securing a small grant with The Devonport Royal Dockyard Sport and Social Club.
The Trustees also wish to note here our thanks to our main local partner for their continuous and ongoing support, Wolseley Community Economic Development Trust (WCEDT), whom without which we would not be able to continue with our project.
Our focus, as always, is to continue to primarily support the most vulnerable in our community and we are proud to say, the work we do and the results we produce, demonstrate this.
We note that our accounts show a modest surplus at end of the year of £9,713.33. The surplus is reinvested into the project going forward, supporting adults and youth in our community.
