The Association would not be able to provide the resources and activities for the school without the continued support of parents and staff who give their services voluntarily.

**Trustees' Report for the year ended 31st August 2022**

## **Statement of trustees' responsibilities**

The trustees are required under the Constitution to prepare financial statements for the financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of the affairs of the charity and of its results for that period. In preparing those financial statements the trustees are required to:

- (a) select appropriate accounting policies and apply them consistently;

- (b) make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;

- (c) prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is appropriate to assume that the charity will not continue in business.

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

## **Audit of accounts**

The charity is classified under rules set out by the Charities Commission as a small fund and is therefore exempt from a qualified audit. At the AGM on 25th September 1997 the 'Terms of Reference' were amended to allow for the accounts to be inspected by a suitably experienced examiner.

The report was approved by the Trustees and signed on its behalf by:
