Annual Trustee Report - Accounts Ending 31[st] March 2021

A report on this period was impacted massively due to the coronavirus (covid-19).

During periods of national lockdown, all sea cadet activities was postponed or canceled and All meetings where held virtually.

Any training with Cadet was done virtually until the unit was able to meet socially distant to each other and under safe restriction on numbers.

Fund raising was also impact with events canceled.

We was able to review the condition of the unit and made some necessary maintenance and renewals, in preparation of the Sea Cadets returning to some sort of normal in keeping to the new Covid rules set out by the Government and that of Sea Cadets Head Quarters.

A list of works carried out was a new flooring was installed on the Main Hall floor, and in classrooms. A coat of paint on the walls inside. Repairs to broken windows due to vandalism. Roof repairs and gutter cleaning, replacement lights.

Flitwick and Ampthill received reimbursements for courses that had been cancel by MSSC.

We received 4 covid Grants from the local council to help with the expenses of the Unit.

Total cash funds ending 31[st] March 2021 £36,413 an increase of £5,928 on the previous financial year.

As a group of trustees we would like to remain sustainable and stable. With continuing grow as a important part of the two towns we represent in Flitwick and Ampthill youth.

We feel in a strong position with the help of the local governance In this difficult time of Covid19.

We will look to improve and increase the fleet of boats available to our youth members(cadets), to help improve the skills and mental health. Offering the opportunity to be part of a team and making friends.
