TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE SKILL IN RIFLE AND PISTOL SHOOTING SO THAT CITIZENS ARE BETTER FITTED TO SERVE THEIR COUNTRY IN THE ARMED FORCES, TERRITORIAL AND ARMY VOLUNTEER RESERVES OR ANY OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN WHICH THEIR SERVICES MAY BE REQUIRED. TO ORGANISE TEAMS TO REPRESENT OXFORDSHIRE IN NATIONAL AND OTHER COMPETITIONS.

Objects: The Objects Of The Association Shall Be The Promotion And Encouragement Of Skill In Rifle And Pistol Shooting Amongst Her Majesty's Subjects So That They Will Be Better Fitted To Serve Their Country In The Armed Forces, The Territorial And Army Volunteer Reserves Or Any Other Organisation In Which Their Services May Be Required In The Defence Of The Realm In Times Of Peril. The Association Shall Organise Teams To Represent The County Of Oxfordshire In National And Other Competitions.
