Objectives and Activities
The purposes of the charity include paying or transferring the resources of the charity to or for the benefit of such charitable applications as the trustees shall determine. The charity makes grants mainly to other registered charities, and operates through voluntary work by trustees. The trustees do not consider unsolicited applications for funds. The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.
Achievements and Performance
The charity made several charitable applications of its funds during the year, mainly by way of payments to other registered charities, to support the fulfilment of their charitable objectives.
Financial Review
The trustees consider that the charity’s financial position at the end of the year was satisfactory. The charity’s donations received, grants made and net receipts/payments varies from year to year. Income which has not been expended is retained for future application. Reserves are maintained sufficient to cover at least all the liabilities of the charity, are held in cash funds at banks, and provide a source of investment income. The amount of reserves held is set out in the Statement of Assets and Liabilities on page 3.
Structure, Governance & Management
Dorema Charitable Trust is constituted by Deed of Trust and is a registered charity. Neither the trustees nor anyone connected with them received any remuneration. Trustees’ appointments are for an indefinite term. Under the terms of the charity’s constitutional documents, the trustees have wide powers of investment and express power to accumulate income.

Independent Examiner’s Report
Report to the trustees of: Dorema Charitable Trust Charity number: 287001 On accounts for the year ended: 5 April 2022 Set out on pages: 2 and 3.
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 5 April 2022.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
-
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
