Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document TAR March 2012 Main activities are use of the hall for rneetings, lectures, and classes or other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation in the interests af social welfare and with the object of improving the social conditions of the life of the inhabitants. The Trustees consider these objectives lo be consistent with Charity CommissiDn guidance on providing for the public benefit of the hall as showing in the list of activities pursued this year. The hall is in use most days of the week for a variety of activities including: pre-school play group, Cub Scouts, Badmington Club, Keep Fit Group, Art Group, Garnes afternoons, Films, Flower Group, Horticultural Group. Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include withln this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) The hall is available for hire for private functions including children parties, wedding receptions, funeral teas, village social functions and occasional fund-raising fayres Addltlonal details of objectives and activities (Optional informatlon) It is the strategy of the Trustees to manage the revenue budget on a self- financing basis and the contributions made by users of the hall are set to achieve this. Management Costs are kept to a minimum using volunteers for regular maintenance and cleaning of the hall. On average 20 hours of volunteer lime are given each week lo cover routine tasks such as bookings management, cleaning and maintenance. In addition, trustees give 40 hours a month for meetings and 200 hours per annum in organising and running fund raising events. TAR March 2012 Section D Achievements and performance The main achievements in this year were Obtaining a grant from Locase lo replace hall lights with LED'S Managing closure of facilities due to COVID pandemic The hall eXperIen￿d a 30 /0 drop in income from hall booking The hall received a COVID grant of £10,207 Trustees are awaiting the outcome of grant applications towards the cost of extending the hall Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year £12,394 of funds were allocated to essential maintenance works on the hall cottage to make it ready for a new hiring agreement with Muddy Boots pre-school group.
