Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The main fund-raising activity of the Charity is the annual ‘Wheels’ classic vehicle show, held at the Royal Cornwall Showground on the outskirts of Wadebridge in July. The 2024 show had over 1,000 exhibiting vehicles, over 3,500 visiting customers, and raised a record £29,000 restricted for charities in Cornwall. The principal beneficiaries were:

The other regular fund raiser is a prize draw which raises £3,000 each year of which half goes to unrestricted funds for future charitable donations and half is paid out as prize money.
Other fund raising included a street collection on World Polio Day for the campaign to eradicate polio; supporting the Trigshire Orchestra at its fund raising ‘Mince Pie Concert’; a raffle at the Rotary Club Christmas party in aid of Motor Neurone Disease; and various donations at different times by members of the Rotary Club of Wadebridge.
Other activity
The Charity donated funds for a new storage shed for Wadebridge Guides and then provided the volunteers to construct and install it. The Charity provided traffic marshalling and other practical assistance to Blue Light Day, an annual event at the Royal Cornwall Showground organised by the Devon & Cornwall Police to showcase the emergency services for the benefit of adults with learning disabilities.

Amounts unspent in the year are carried forward as restricted and unrestricted reserves for donations in subsequent years.
