The Trustees are appointed by the Court of the Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach
Harness Makers of London. There musl be no fewer than bNo trustees and they must be members of
the company.
Meetings of the Trustees 9el the overall policy for the running of the Trust and determining donations.
The day to day running ol the Trust is carried out by the Trust's professional advisers.
The Court appoints new Iruslees to replace retiring Iruslees from Past Masters of the Livery.
Investment Powers
The Trust's Investments are governed by the TrusleeAcl 2000. All investments are listed on the London
Stock Exchange or are UK authorised unil trusts.
Review of Activrties Achievements and Future Plans
The trustees have reviewed the performance of the Fund manager during the year and are sallsffed
with their management of the funds and their investment. The management of the funds continues lo
be based on Total return policy as previously slated.
This year has continued lo be very volatile with the Ukraine war, Middle East conflict, energy crisis,
interest rate rises, inflation, F)olilical uncertainty and the increase of the cost of living.
Through this period the ftjnd has been impacted by market sentiment and there has been a hit to the
Value. We continue lo monitor the investments in an active manner.
The Livery continues to focus on being an active Livery supporting young people in our associated
industri￿.
The Livery also maintained ils commitment to award prize5 for achievement to members of ts affiliated
service units.

11 is the policy of the Trustees to maintain unrestricted funds at a level to provide sufficient income from
investments in order to meet ils adminislralive costs and meet appropriate applications for grants. Free
reserves al the year end. represented by unrestricted funds, stood al £1,760,328 12022 - £1,802,128).

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this slalemenl is lo distinguish the Trustees, responsibilities for the account5 from those
of the independent examiner as stated in his report.
The Charities Act 2011 requires the Trustees lo prepare accounts for each financial year which give a
true and fair view of the ¢harily's financial activities during the year and of ils financial position al the
end of the year.
In preparing the aceounls the Trustees should follow best practice and
select suitsble accounting policies and apply them consistently.,
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent..
follow the recommendations of the Charty Commission and of the accounting profession with
regard lo fomi and conlenl of the accounts. or disclose and explain any departures there from.,
and
prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless (( is inappropriate to assume that the
charity will be able lo continue to meet ils objectives.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records which are such as to disclose, with
reasonable accuracy. the financial posf(ion of the charity al any time and to enable the Trustees to
ensure that the accounts comply with the disclosure regulations. They are also responsible for
safeguarding the charity's assets and hence for taking reasonable steps for Ihe prevention and
detection of error. fraud and other irregularities.

I report lo the Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Coachmakers and Coach Hame8S
Makers Charitable Trust I'the Irusl.) for the year ended 31 August 2023 sel out on pages 5 to 10.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity Iruslees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 1.the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011
Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charty
Commission under section 145{5llb) of the Act.
Independent examiner's report ststement
I have completed my examlnalion. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in
connection with the examination giving me cause lo believe that in any material respect..
accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act.,
or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records., or
3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the form and content
of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any
requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair Vie￿ which 15 not a matter considered as
part of an independent examination.
I have no eoncerns and have come across no other mallers in eonnection with the examination lo which
attention should be drawn in this report in order lo enable a proper understanding of the ac¢ounls lo be
reached_
This report is made solely to the charity's trustees, as a body, in accordance with Part 4 of the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008. My work has been undertaken so that I might slate to the
Charity's trustees those matters l am required lo slate to them in an independent examiner's report and
for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permilled by law, I do not accept or assume responsibilf(y lo
anyone other than the Charty and the charity trustees as a body. for my work or this report.
