TATEMENT OF TRUSTEE

IBILITIE
The purpose of this statement is lo distinguish the Trustees, responsibilities for the accounts from those
of the independent examiner as slated in his report.
The Charities Act 2011 requires the Trustees to prepare accounts for each finaneial year which give a
true and fair view of the charity's financial activities during the year and of ils financ￿1 position al the
end of the year.
In preparing the accounts the Trustees should follow best pra¢tice and
select sultsble accounting policies and apply them consislenlly.,
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.,
follow the recommendations of the Charity Commission and of the accounting profession with
regard lo form and ¢onlenl of the accounts, or disclose and explaln any departures there from-,
and
prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to assume that the
charity will be able to continue to meet 11$ objectives.
The Tiuslees are responsible for keeping accounting records which are such as lo disclose, with
reasonable accuracy, the financial position of the charity al any lime and lo enable the Tru51ees lo
ensure that the accounts comply with the disclosure regulations. They are also responsible for
safeguarding the charity's assets and hence for laking reasonable Steps for the prevention and

Makers Charitable Trust I the trusl'l for the year ended 31 August 2022 set out on pages 5 10 10.

As the charity Iruslees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
a¢¢ordance with the requiremonls of the Charitses Act 20111"the kl'l.
I report in respe¢l of my examination of the Trust's accounts carrièd out under section 145 of the 2011
Act and in ¢arrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Direckn'ons given by the Charity
Commission under section 14515llb} of the Act.

Since the trust's gross income exceeded £250,000, your examiner musl be a member of a bcsdy listed
in section 145 of the 2011 A¢1. l confirm that l am qualified to undertake the examination be¢ause l am
a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounlanls in England and Wales, which is one of the listed
b¢xlies.
I have completed my examination. l confirm that no material matters have come lo my attention in
Connection with the examinauon giving me ¢aus6 lo believe that in any material respect..
