This is the Trustee's report for Great Chart Playing Fields Association, for the Financial Year 2020-21. I have attached the full set of accounts and am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Great Chart Playing Fields Association is responsible for two playing fields, and a pavilion situated on the larger of the playing fields. The larger playing field is the main base for Pilgrims Football Club and hosts occasional other events. The smaller playing field hosts a play park and outdoor gym owned by Great Chart with Singleton Parish Council, and the rest of the field is popular with dog walkers, picnickers and people playing ball games. The pavilion comprises of a main hall, kitchen, three changing rooms and associated toilets and storage areas. The pavilion is hired out to Pilgrims FC on a regular basis and occasionally to private hirers for parties and meetings.

The main source of income during the 2020-21 Financial Year was grant money from Ashford Borough Council. These were grants given to all organisations registered to pay business rates, and totalled £20,193. There was income of £1,605 from Pilgrims Football Club, but this was lower than usual due to their activities being curtailed during the pandemic. There was also grant money of £817 from the Football Association in relation to goalposts, but due to the pandemic, the work did not take place during the financial year. Other income included £37.50 from the disposal of metal items, and a £337.85 refund from EDF Energy due to lower energy use during the pandemic. Our savings account earned £3.41 in interest.

Although the pandemic meant that the pavilion was not able to be used for it's intended purpose as much as it could have been, it did give the organisation chance to action some works to be carried out when restrictions allowed, but whilst the building was not in use. The usual bills and insurance came to £3,046. £36 was spent on office supplies for a new landline handset as the old one was broken. £1,111 was spent on pavilion maintenance, this included overhauling the fire alarm system, cutting of new keys and extinguisher maintenance. £2,613 was spent on field maintenance and this included £635 on new main gates into the fields, and £1,977 on grounds work for the car park and hedges.

In summary, the Great Chart Playing Fields Association generated £1980.35 income, boosted by £21,545.29 in various grants. It spent £6,806 on bills, insurance and maintenance. The balance of the current account at 31/03/2021 was £10,862.95, and the balance of the savings account on 31/03/2021 was £14,503.72.
