report to the trustèès on my examination of the accounts of The Centre Pre-school I'the charitll for the year
ended 31 July 2025 which comprise the summary of receipts and payments and the statement of assets and
This report is made solèly to the charity's trustee5, a5 a body, in accordance with section 145 of the Charities Act
2071. My work has been undertaken so that I might state to the charity's trustees those matters l am required
to state to them in this rèport and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent peimitted by law, I do not accept
or assume responsibility lo anyone other than the charity and the charity's trustees as a body, lor my work, lor
this report, or for the opinions I have formed.
Re5ponsibllities and basis of report
As the trustees ol the charity yo*J are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordancè with the
requirements of the Chariiies Act 2011 I'ihe Act'l.
I report in respect ol my examinatlOA of the charity's account5 carried out under section 145 of the Act and in
carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 14515llbl of the Act.
An independent examination doos not involve gathering all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
consequently does not cover all the matters that an auditor considers in giving their opinion on the accounts.
The planning and conduct of an audit goes beyond the limited assurance that an indepèndent Èxamination can
p¥ovide. Congèquently l express no audit opinion on the accounts and my report is limited to ihose specific
matters set aut irb the independent examiner's statement.
Independent examiner's statemènt
I have completed my Èxamination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection
with the examination giving me causè to believe that in any materi81 respect=
accounting records were not kept in respect tsf the charity as required by section 130 of the Act,. or

I have no concerns and have come acr055 no other matters in connection with the examination to which
attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper undèrstanding of the account5 to be

The trustees present their annual report and the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 July
2025.
The financial statement5 have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies sét out in note 1 to the
accounts and comply with the charity's twsl deed, the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting and Reporting by
Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to tharities preparing their actounts in accordance
with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in thè UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 as updatéd by
bulletin 1 and 2.

The Centre Pre-school, whose registered address is at The knfelong Learning Centre, Churchill Avenue, Bagildon,
E55ex SS14 2EQ registered with the Charity Commissioners No. 286158 and is constituted by a constitution
which is based upon the Pre School Learning Alliance Standards Constitution.

Public Benefit
The trustees are aware of their duty under S.17 01 the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Public
Bénefit Guidance published by the Charity Commission. As such, the Trustees ensure that the grants and
activities of the Charity are for public benefit. The pre-school is for the benefit of prè-school age children from
the local area.
Obj•ctlve5 of the Charlty
At The Centre Pre-school we enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in
a parent-involving, commLJnity-based group. We provide a sale, secure and stimulating environment. We work
within a framework whbch ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families.
Actlvlti•s and Achievemehts of thè Charity
Children's grant funding was received from Essex County Council Early Years for 2-, 3- and 4-year old
children.
Early Years Pupil Premium for disadvantaged 3- and 4-year-old children was receivèd Irom Essex County
Council which enabled us to purchase equipment and provide support to benèfit the children's education.

The committee endeavour to administer the charity to a high standard and are ple&ed with the results for
the year under review.
The pre-school did fundraising and over the year we raised a total £100. This was obtained through our Pl
fundraising day.
Financlal posltlon
Year ended 2025 saw an increase in income £121,03812024.. £99,414} due to pupil numbers increasing.
Expenditure decreagèd during 2025 £126,242 12024.. £131,OSOl this was primarily due to the impart of Fence
répair work5 and incrpased accountancy fees in the prior year.
ReseNes increased to £96,971 12024.. £102,1751 and this level of reservès is reasonable to ensure the financial
stsbility of the trust in the event that pupil numbers reduce in the coming years
