2011. My work ha5 been undertaken so that J might State to the charity's trustees those matters l am required
to state to them in this report and lof no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do not accept

As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparatiOFF ol the account5 in accordance with the

I report in respect ol my examination of the charit515 3CCDUnt5 carried out under se(tion 145 of the Act and in
carrying out my examin3tion I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 14515llbl of the Act.
An independÈnt examination does not involve gattiering all the evidence that would be requlred In an audit and
onsequently does not cover all the rnatters that an auditor considers in gwing thetr opinion on the accounts.
The planning and conduct of an audit goes beyond the limited assurance that an independent examination can
piovide. Conseque*itly l expiess no audit opinion on the accounts and my report is limited to those specific
matters set out In the independetit exarniner'5 Statement.

The trustees present their annual report and the financial statement5 of the charity for the year ended 31 July
2024.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out note 1 to the
accounts afid cornply with the chai'ity's trust deed. the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting and Reporting by
Charities.. Statement of Recommended Piactice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordan
with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Treland IFRS 1021 as updated by
bulletin 1 and 2.

Public Benefit
The trustees are aware of their duty under S.17 of the Charitie5 Act 2011 to have due regard to the Public
Benefit Guidance published by the Ch8rity comrnls5￿rn. A5 Such, the Truste&s ensure that the grants and
activities of the Charity are for public benefit. The pre-school is for the benefit of pie-5chDo1 age children from
the Iwal area.
Obje¢tives of the CharÉty
At The Centre Pre-school we enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in
paient-involvingr cornmunity-based group. We provide a safe, secure and stimulat*ng environment. We work
within a frarnework vthich ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families.
Attsvities and Achlevements of the Charlty
Children's grant funding was received from Essex County Council Early Years for 2-, 3- and 4-year old
childien.
Early Years Pupil Pretnium for disadvantaged 3- and 4-year-old children was received from Essex C(iunty
Council which enabled us to purchase equipment and provide sUPPOrt to bentlit the children'5 education.
The committee endeavour to administer the charity to a high starkdard and are pleased with the results for

the year under review.
The pre-school did fundraising and over the year we iaised a totsl £574. This was obtained through
donations to our Christmas raffle &nd a sponsored find and keep healthy.
Financi81 position
Ye8r ended 2024 saw a decrease in income £99,41312023.' £118,9841 due to pupil numbers decreasing.
Expendlture increased during 2024 £131,05012023'. £174,176) this was prirnarily due to the impact of increased
Staffing and payroll costs.
Resetves increased to £102,17512023.. £133,812) and this level of re5erwes is reasonable to ensure the financial
stability of the trust in the event that pupil numbers reduce in the coming years
