entering luw Ilme educatlon.
The Pre•8chool updaled Ihe outslde area vllh a new mtjd kilchen is at a Ir)wer helght to that previously used.
More children are able lo access Ihis area and have enjoyed making soup and mud pies. as well a81è?ming about
measuring and transporting items frc*m one vessel to anolher. It has given a wder scope for discussion as it is
adapted lo the 8cllvitles we ate CO￿ng out wthin Pre•sthoc4.
A new wooden fence wa$ erecled to re￿ace an okl fence separabnu Ihè vJtsidè ar•a with th• shingled arèa us8d
for entry to Ihe Pre-school. The fence was kindty supph'ed and erected by a parent. With the fence being double-
b8cked il 51ops pwpla ¢limbing m or ovor ths (￿c8. Wa hava dso addad a of tr8llis to further heighten this
area.

develop skllls.
We signed up to a merrtoring prc4ect to assist U5 in devekping the PTeThschool and its en￿rOnMent. The Managei
and staff havè found this us8fiJl and havè takan on bo8rd m8ny of th8 sugg8stions which wè falt would work for our
setting.
We obtslned 8 sm811 gr8nt frryn Norfclk County Coundl used this to purth8$e the Wellcunm klt, whlch 18 8
help-guide for speech, wlh monitoring fom)s and guides on next steps. We have been usin9 ECAT and this has
worked wèll for us. With m(Kè childrèn having speeth needs rt was fèlt we nèodod 8 mor• robust h6lp-ouidè.
Wellcornm 15 recognised and used by our current speech and language team.
A balloon entertainer attended both our Christmas and Leav*s parties. These were both a huge success and the
children were lotally locussed (M) what is happening and am partiupated when asked.
Children continue lo come in wilhoul parenis, and find their own named coa( peg in the conservatory area. This has
been a posilNe step and has hel￿￿ setue new thiklr8n qU￿er.
A member of staff went off on long terrn sid( whi&t having tre8tsnent. As this staff mefflber (xme bad(. another welll
on matem¢ty ￿8Ve. We ernployed 2 new staff members however one carne twce before deuding she was no longer
aNe to work due to her own health problems and ￿Signed with immediate effect. The member of staff remaining
came straight frorn College. She has settled in and the chikjren have wamied to her very quickly.

operational address is Priory Court. 55 Sl Augustine's Way, South Wootton, King's Lynn, Norfolk, PE30 3TE.
1.1 Aecountlng eonvontlon
The accounts have been pr8pared in accordance with the chariV5 goveming document. the Charities Act
2011 and "Accounling and Reporting by Charilies.. Slalemenl of Recommendad Practicg applicable lo
charities preparing their accounts in accordan￿ with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021" las amended for accounting periods commencing from l January 20161.
Tha charity is a Public Benelil Entity as defined by FRS 102.
The charity has taken advantage ol the provisions in the SORP lor charities applying FRS 102 Update Bullelin
1 not to preparg a Statemenl ol Cash Flow5.
The financial slalemenls have departed from the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulalions 2008 only lo
the extent required to provide a true and lair view. This departure has involved following the Slalemenl of
Recornmended Practice lor charities applying FRS 102 rather Ihan the version ol the Slalemenl of
Recornmendod Practice which is felerred lo in the Regulations bul which has since been withdrawn.
The financial stalements are prepared in sterling, which is Ihe functional currency of the charily. Monet8ry
arnounts in these financial slalemenls are rounded lo Ihe nearest £.
The financial slalemenls have been prepared under Ihe historical Cost convention. The prinapal accounting
policies adopted are sel oul below.

Al the lime ol approving the finanual Stalgments. the truslees have o rgosonablo expectation that the ch8rlty
has adequate resource5 lo continue in operational exislence for the foreseeable future. Thus the Iruslees
Continue lo adopt the going concern basis ol accourblbng in preparing the finanaal statements.
1.3 Charitable funds
Unrestricted funds are available for use al the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of their ch8ritable
objectives.
Restricted funds are subject to specific conditions by donors or grantors as to how they may be used. The
purposes and uses of Ihe restricted funds are sel oul in the notes lo the financial slalemenls.
Endowm&nt lunds are subjecl lo speufic condilions by donors that Ihe capital musl be malntsined by th8
charity.
1.4 Incom
Income is recognised when Ihe charity is legally erbliued lo it after any perfomiance conditions have beon m91,
the amounts can be measured reliably. and it is probable that incomè wll be r8c8iV8d.
Cash dr)nations are recognised on receipt. Other donations are recognised once the charity has been notified
of the donation. unless perfom)an¢e Conditions ￿qUIrE deferral of the amount. Income tax rO￿v9[able in
relation to donations received undei Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised at the time of Ihe donation.
Legacies are recognised on receipt or otherwise if Ihe charity has been notified of an impending distribution.

Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or construdive obligation lo transfer ecoriomic benefit lo a
third party, il is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in selllemenl, and the 8rnounl of
the obligalion can be measured reliably.
Expenditure is classified by activity. The cosls of each aclivity are made up of the total of direct costs and
sh8rtsd costs. induding support involved in Ltndertaking each aclivity. Oirect costs attributable lo a single
activity ar¢ allocated directly to that activity. Shared costs which conlribute to more than one activity and
support costs which are nol atlributable to a single activity are apportioned be￿een Ih05e 8clivilies on 8 basis
consistent with the use ol resources. Central staff costs are allocaltrd on the basis of Ilme spent, and
deprèciation charges are allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
Expenditure is recognised whgn a liability is incurred. Conlraclual arrangements and performance related
grants are recognised 8$ goods or Servi￿ are supplied. Other grant payments arè recognlsed when a
onslructive obligation arises that result in Ihe payment ￿Ing unavoiijable.
Costs ol ggnerating funds are those costs incurred in Irading aclivilie$ that raise fvnds.
Charitable activities are those costs incurred by the charity in moeting 11$ Charitable oty'ectives.
Governance costs indude those incurred in the goveman¢e of the charity and ils assets and are primarily
associated with the conslilulional and slalulory reouiremenls.

Terminalion benefrts are recognised immediately as an expense when tho charity is demonstrably committed
