Development of the master plan is being p rogressed to help us to secure a sustainable future. It is hoped that future planning permission to build a new hall and allow development of further facilities will help us to generate a dditional funding to enable the Church to contribute substantially to fund the major repairs and restoration that a re u rgently required.

- Principal sources of funds a re as follows:

   - Donations f rom the Collection Plate

   - Standing O rders and other General Donations

   - Gift Aid – continuing to p romote g reater community awareness

   - Our Partnership with the Hastings F riendship G roup to deliver resources for the `One Hastings Many Voices` p rojects.

   - House rental income  Community Hall – general community hire  Funding G rants

The Church owns a f reehold house which is currently let and provides much needed dda itional income.

Increasing further income f rom hire of the Community Hall is badly hampered by the lack of disabled access, this work must be prioritised and completed at the earliest opportunity, due to u rgent repairs works it has been necessary to postpone this work temporarily this fnancial year. We plan to make further rg ant funding applications to help us to complete this as soon as possible. In the meantime, we continue to receive regular payments for hire funds f rom community g roup activities in the hall.

Church shop has been updated and stock purchased for rp oviding extra income stream for church.

Further da vancement of a sustainable community focused restoration and development ` Master Plan` that maximises existing Church resources, enables a major fnancial contribution towards the massive repair costs of restoration of the Historic Church is slowly p rogressing and we hope that the coming year will see this a dvance to Stage 1 that will enable a full planning application and a submission to the Heritage Lottery Fund for an initial g rant assessment. We has appointed Conservation A rchitect and rp ofessional team to manage the p roject and have set up a Steering G roup to oversee the a dvancement and fulflment of the master plan. Our Church community will continue to maximise our combined eforts to ensure a dequate income to maintain our buildings and rp ovide space, resources and support to the local community g roups during the coming 2021/2022 fnancial year. The outcome of the planning application p rocess and future g rant applications will determine the way forward for the p reservation of the Historic Church for future generations and will we p ray, guide us towards a more secure and viable future.
