As a UK membership umbrella organisation, ARC UK provides information, training and support, networking opportunities and promotes best practice in service provision for people with a learning disability; as a campaigning organisation it seeks to influence policy and practice at local and national level.
Objects: (a) For The Education And Training Of All Organisations, Associations, Individuals/ Or Groups Of Individuals Concerned With The Care Of People With Learning Disabilities (all Of Which Organisations, Associations, Individuals And/ Or Groups Of Individuals Are Hereinafter Collectively Referred To As "the Organisations And Individuals") In Matters Relating To The Care Of People With Learning Disabilities And To Their Particualr Need And Requirements. (b) To Work For And Promote The Study Of And Research Into All Matters Affecting People With Learning Disabilities And To Obtain And Make Records Of And Disseminate All Useful Results Of Such Research
