## **Achievements and Performance** 

SORP reference The Village Hall is now being utilised at prepandemic levels and most of our earlier users are back and the future is looking bright with Summary of the main Para 1.20 many bookings confirmed including welcome achievements of the charity, regulars such as Wedmore Opera, Wedmore identifying the difference the Theatre, the Tuesday Club, Rainbows, Brownies 



|charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.||and Guides to mention just a few but not<br>forgetting Pilates, Tai Chi, Camelot Quilters,<br>badminton, yoga, over 50s dance and many<br>more.  It really is a very well use community<br>space.  Users from outside the parish are also<br>taking advantage of the Hall for spiritual<br>weekends, weddings and birthday parties.<br>We have just completed a major project:<br>refurbishment of the Snug.  We applied for a<br>grant from Sedgemoor DC and happily were<br>successful with that application and have<br>consequently been able to fund a complete<br>overhaul of the Snug.<br>A reminder of some of the other projects the<br>committee has completed over the last few<br>years:<br>•<br>Installation of the mechanical<br>ventilation system that makes the Hall<br>Covid-safe<br>•<br>Installation of the raked seating which<br>continues to be popular<br>•<br>Ensuring the bell tower is safe<br>following major storms last year<br>•<br>Extensive re-roofing again following<br>storms<br>•<br>Solar panels on the roof which<br>certainly supplement our revenue<br>thanks to Green Wedmore<br>•<br>Extensive refurbishment of the<br>entrance lobby<br>•<br>Redecoration of the Main Hall<br>•<br>Re-varnishing of the Main Hall floor<br>following a complete re-sanding a few<br>years ago<br>•<br>Installation of a bicycle rack<br>•<br>Upgrades to the main kitchen with new<br>units and enhanced facilities<br>•<br>Installation of LED lights throughout<br>the Hall replacing the energy hungry<br>halogen lights.|
