The Directorsrrrustees have pleasure in presenting their Report and Financial Statements of the
Companylcharity for the year ended 31 March 2023
The Direetornrustees have adopted the provisions of the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 2019
in p￿paring the annual report and tinaiicial statements of the Charity.
The Trustees in 0￿1CC throughout the year w¢re Mr C. Berger, Mrs H. Berger & Mr S Berger.
All trust¢es give of their time freely and no trustee remuneration was paid in tlie year.

professional advisers on page 2 of the financial slatements.

governed by its memorandum and articlcs of association.
The DirectorslTrust¢es are re%ponsiblc for th¢ govemance of the organisatloi) and are aciive in all
operational aspecis of strategic tnana¥cinent. Major polic). decisions are decided at full dir¢ctors'/
Trustees, meetings.
Principal Activity
The principal aclivity of the Company during the )'ear was that of receiving Grdnts and givin8 Out
granis to charitable institutions.
Charit&ble Objects are:
The Charity w'as established to further both in the United Kingdom and abroad those purposes
re¢ogni5ed as charitable by English Law. To achieve these objects. th¢ Charity utilis¢s its income
lo make grants and donations which are in a¢cordance wilh the guidanc¢ of the Charity Commission
relating io Public Benefit.

The Charity received gifts and donaiions in the year for ils operations - £284.857 (2022 £262,163)
During th¢ year, the Company gave £322.989 {2022_ £227,341) in grants. Thc Conipany receives
applications for ￿ants, which are consid¢red by the board.
The Charitable donations made went to furth¢r the goals and objectives of the Charity. Donations went
to or8anisations and institutions involved in orthodox Jewish religious education. social welfare etc
Grants are only made upon a unanimous decision by the board.
The results and financial position are shO￿.n in (he accounts. The Charity's income is sulTici¢nt to fund
its obligations.
The Trustees have identified the major risks the charitable company is exposed to and systems have been
established lo mitigate these risks.
Public benefit
In setting our objectives and planning our activities the Trustees have given careful consideration to
the Charity Commission s general guidance on publiL benelit and in particular to its suppleinentary
public benefit guidance on fee-charging.
This report has been prepared iaking ad￿'antaS1e of the spe¢ial exemptions applicable to small Companies
und¢r Part 15 of the Companies Aci 2006.

Under the meinorandum and articles of association, the charity has the power to make any inv¢stmenl
which the trustees see fit.
Reserves Policy
The truste¢s retain reserves as n¢cessary and ￿here appropriat¢, consolidale funds in order to
enable the charity to meei future needs or to make more substantial grants which they feel to be
appropriate.

Company Law requires the directors to prepare financial statements for each tii)ancial year which giv¢
true and fair view of the state of affairs of ¢h¢ Lharity. as at the Balance sheet date, ai)d of its
incoming resources, Encluding income and expenditure for ihe financial ycar.
In preparing thos¢ financial staiemeiits, the Dire¢torsrfrustees should follow best pra¢lice and
Selecl suitable accounting policies and appl￿ them consistently.
b. Make judgments and estimates ihat are reasonable and prudent.
Follow applicable accountingJ standards and the Charitics SORP, disclosing and explaining
any departures in ihe financial ststements.

The Directors/Trustees are responsible for mainiaining proper a¢counting records which
disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity. and to ¢nable

The DirectorslTrustees are also responsible for safeguarding the charity's assets and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other regularilies.
