Structhre• Governance and Manwmenl of the Charity
The Charity is governed by its cX￿StitirtIOll dat￿ 12th March 1982 and enter￿1 on the register of Ch8riti¢s on
30 April 1982.
The Obj￿Ilve of the Charity is as follows:
The ChaTity is established to pay or make provision or application for the maintaJanc£. restoration and
improvement of the church of St Mary at Mapledurwell ne8r Basin88toke in the county of Hampshir¢, and io
carry out such other le8ally chatitsble Purpo￿ f(Y the knefit of humankind &8 the Trustees may from time
to time determine.
Th¢ Trustees are pwblicly ¢I￿led to mana8e the ChaTity at the Annual General Meetin8. All Trustees are
volunteers and are not paid.
Trustees are invited to attend Trustee'5 meelings of which thff¢ sh(wld b¢ at le4st thtee each year. D￿1810￿8
are made based on the majority vote of Truslees present. Where the votss are equal the Chair has the casting
vote.
Jrin8 the year under review two trus*e's Meetings were held in pwgon. For a number of reasons a
meeting could not take pla¢¢ in person over the summer so some decisions were agreed (￿line.
Main attivitiej of the ChArity for pnblic benefit
The Tnjstees tske into a¢¢ount the Ch8Tity'S Objectives and the Charity Cornmi8Ston'8 8uidance on public
benefit. The Charity has conlinued for many ye8rs to sup￿ the maintffAance. restoration and improvement
of St Mary's Church. Mapledunvejl, to make grants to univwsity $th￿ents towards university thition fees, to
make donations to charitiu internatiooaily and to vari￿￿ lo¢al community projects.
Financial Devdopment
The Chatity's main income is from investments in M&G Charifi]nd Jncune Uni
The Charlty has no restricted funds.
Reserve'g policy
The Charity holds reserves Invest￿ in a low-risk equity fimd that pays income suftficient to m¢rt th¢ r¢gular
annual costs of maintenance of the Church, together with a share of cosE identified by the quinquennial
maintenance review of the Church fabric undertaken for the MaP1￿urwCll Village Church Committee.
Excess incom¢ can be spent giving to students frm the village. donations to oth¢r charitics and grdnts
for individual items that improve the well_being of the meMb￿S of the village.

Th¢ Charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the Arxwnts. The ch￿ity'S T￿￿tee5 ¢on$ider
that an audit is not required for this year unts section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 AGt) and
that an Independent Examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
