The C.harity'$ income from M&G investm¢nts was £45331.95 in 2024 representing an increase of £2387.47
over the PriOT year (£42,944.48).
The market value of our M&G inveslmenls on 31° December 2024 was £760.046.52 {?023. £720.759)
including an additional £20,OW invegi in the year.

diffcrent groups raised money and drove pickups for peace to Ukraine durin¥ the year &one group did a
walk for Curse Bereavernent.

We are atso pleased to continue to support the young people of the community by sponsoring University
students with grants towards tuition fees.

Siru¢ture, Governance Management of the Chgrity
The C,harity is governed by its constitution dated 12 March 1982 and entered on th¢ re8?ster of Charities on
30 April 1982
The Objective of the Charity is as follows:
The Charity is estsblished to pay or make provision or application for the maintenance. restoration and
improvement of the church of St Mary at Mapledurwell near Basingstoke in the county of Hampshire, and to
cary out such other legally charitable puwes for the benefit of humankind as the Trustses may from time
to tsme detennine.
The Trustees are publicly eleth￿ to manage the Charity at the Annual General Meeting. All Trnstees are
volunleers and are not paid.
Trustees are invited lo attend Tru51ee's methings of which iheTe should be at least three each year. Decisions
are made b&ged on the maj ority vote of Trustees present. Where the voles are equal the Chair has the castin8
vote.
During the year under revi¢w three trustee's meetings were held.
Main activities of the Charity for ptsblic benefrt
The Trustees take into account the Charity's Objectives and the Charity Commi sston's guidance on publi
benefit. 'fhe Charity has continued for many yeaTS to support the maintenance, restoration and improvement
of St Mary's Church. Mapledurwell. lo make grnnts to university studenls towards university tuition fees, to
make donations to charib'es iniernationally and to various local community piojecls.
Financial Development
The C.harity's main income is from investmen15 tn M&G Charifund Income Units,
An additional £20.000.00 was invested during the year.
The Charitv has no restricted funds.
Reserve's policy
The Charity holds reserves invested in a low-risk equity fund that pays income sufficient to m¢¢t the regular
annua] costs of maintenance of the c.hurch. iogether w.ith a share of costs. identified by the quinquennial
maintenance t¢view of the Church fabric undertaken for the Mapledurwell Village Church Committee.
Excess income can be spent giving grants to studeffls from the villag¢. donations to other charities and grants
for Individual items that Emprove th¢ well-being of the members of the ￿Illage.
A float is kept in a non-intere5t-bearing bank accouni.

I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31 DK¢mber 2023. set out on pages 5 & 6.
Respective responsibilities Of Trustees and Ei*miner
The Charity's Trustees are Tesponsible for the preparation of the Accounts. The Charity's Trustees consider
that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and
that an Independeni Examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to..

to follow the procedures laid down in the 8enernl Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 145(5Xb) of the 201 l Act: and
to state whether particular matters have come to rny attents'on.
Basis of Independent Lxanliner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance wilh the Sen￿81 Directions given by the Charity
Cornmisbion. An examinaiion includes a re¥iew of the accounting Tecords kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented wilh those records It also includes considerdtioTJ of any unusual items
or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanaiions from you as trustees conccrning any such matters. The
procedures undertaken do not provid¢ a]1 the evidence thai would be required in an audit and consequently
no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a'true and fair view, and the report is limited io those
matters set out in the ststement below.
