## **The Micah Trust**

## **Report of the Trustees for the Year Ended 31 March 2021**

The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2021.

## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES**

## **The Objectives:**

The objectives of the charity are the promotion of the Christian religion particularly through evangelism, teaching the Christian Faith to Christians and the teaching of moral truth.

## **Activities:**

The Trustees are delighted to report that the Trust has continued to retain the services of Rev’d Lyndon Bowring and his wife, Celia. During the course of this year their Micah supported ministry has included these major themes:

- Lyndon has a passion for mentoring young, Christian leaders; over the year he has had to work hard to meet an increasing demand for this ministry.

- Lyndon has long had a ministry in bringing together Christian leaders, particularly those from different strands of the Church; whilst this continues with those of more advancing age, he has been delighted to find that younger leaders are calling on him to help them develop that same ministry with the next generation of Christian leaders.

- Celia does much to support Lyndon, assisting him in writing articles, reports, talks and other communications, as well as acting as his home secretary and sharing in hospitality.

- Celia undertakes Christian speaking engagements, writes Bible notes and is involved in a number of prayer groups nationally.

The charity trustees have had due regard to the guidance by the Charity Commission on public benefit and have taken account of it in planning future activities.

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW**

## **Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of The Micah Trust**

## **Independent examiner's report to the trustees of The Micah Trust**

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Micah Trust (the Trust) for the year ended 31 March 2021.

## **Responsibilities and basis of report**

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## **Independent examiner's statement**

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or

2. The accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. The accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of the accounts set out the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
