The provision of a Village Hall for meetings, lectures, classes, recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Forest Green.

The Village Hall is an integral part of local community affairs and provides a venue for community events and is available for hire by third parties. The Village Hall is also active in organising community events on the nearby village green including a Village Fete and a Bonfire & Fireworks event. The Hall is used for local council meetings, as a polling station in local and national elections, community gatherings and events such as community meetings, national celebration events, coffee mornings and parent/child groups. In addition, the Hall is available for hire by individuals and organisations for activities deemed suitable by the Committee such as private parties, musical groups, health and fitness classes, societies and cultural meeting groups. Any revenue derived from hires is retained by the Hall to cover its running costs.

Section D Achievements and performance
**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
The Hall is in use on a regular weekly basis for various of the activities described in Section C. This year noted an increase in the use of the Hall for health and fitness activities including cycle events and yoga as well as for local band practice, art classes and craft classes. The Café of the Green continued to be a success with Friday in addition to the Sunday events meaning that these community events are taking place for 10 months of the year. The events are run by committee members and other local volunteers and are well attended by local residents including adults and children. The Beetle Drive event was well attended by adults and children alike and was enjoyed by all and the 100Club continued to provide useful revenue to the Hall. There was a welcome donation from the local Tanhurst Vineyard following their open day and the bonfire+fireworks evening in October was well attended by local residents from the surrounding area due to its family-friendly nature and also provided a welcome contribution to the Hall’s revenue. This year saw a major refurbishment of the ladies, gents and disabled toilet facilities and was funded by the YFS Small Community Fund (Surrey County Council).

The Village Hall was successful in obtaining a grant of £27,510 from the YFS Small Community Fund (Surrey County Council) to fund the toilet refurbishment.

3. The building situated on the Village Hall site is insured for £584,170, which is based on the indexed reinstatement cost at 22 September 2025.
4. Fixed assets are written off as the expenditure is incurred.
Independent Examiner's report to the trustees of Forest Grnen Village Hall
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Forest Green Village
Hall for the year ended 30th September 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under
section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all
the applicable Directions given by the Charities Commission under s145(5)(b) of the
Act.
Independent Examiner's statsment
I have completed my examination and confirm that no material matters have come to
my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in
any material respect..
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by s130
of the Act.. or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
Agreed grant income from Surrey County Council with email evidence.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report to enable a Pfoper
understanding of the accounts to be reached.
