The Woking Young Musicians Trust
Annual Report for year ending 31/08/2021.
The Trust’s activities in the previous year (2020) had been curtailed by the Covid Pandemic so that in the year of this report auditions were held for the current year and the previous year.
Auditions were held online in March 2021 with applicants submitting videos of their performances for the Trustees to view using ‘Zoom’.
Four grants were made to successful applicants from 2020 and one from the 2021 applicants. All awards were presented by the Mayor of Woking at a ceremony in September.
Although fundraising activities were curtailed during the year a substantial bequest was received which approximately doubled the reserves of the Trust.
