Strncture. Governance and Management
The TNst is an uninCor￿)rated trusL consbtuted under a trust deed dated 1S1 September 1981 and
registered with Chanty Commission England and Wales Registration Number283799.
The Trust was set up with the prime purFKW of consolidating donations ￿[Ved from clubs in the Lions
Clubs Intemab"onal. Mulb'ple District 105 (covers Great Britain ar￿ with effect 151 Juty 2019 divided into 8
districts - previousty12 districts) to pay over to the nO￿￿nated benefiuaries as specffied by the clubs in
response to appeals made by the Multiple Distr￿t and Lions Clubs Intemational. Over re￿nt times the
Chanty has teen f￿USed on raisinglc£sllecting fijnds for Lions Clubs Intem2tional Foundation ILCIFI. The
Trust does not directy fuThJraise other than from clubs.
The Emetgency Fund was set up in 1991 for the Tel￿f of suffen.ng reSu￿ng from any accident or
disaster wthin the Mults"ple DBtrKt or from an ￿1(knt aff￿tir￿j anyone from the Muttiple District.
The power of appointing new trustees is Yest￿1 in the survNing (x (x)ntinuing trustees for the time
being in accordance with the statutory F¥Jwer of apwintment of new trustees. The Tmst Deed as
amended October 2020 provitles fof 7 trustees. Induction and ongoing training are offered to all
appointed Trustees.
An annual meeting of the trustees ts hekl at a CC￿Ven￿nt MD Lions *Jnction and there are other
interchange C￿MunIc￿lI0nS via le￿phone/eMail in u)nnection with approval of accounts and decision
making etc. Ail decisions are by the trustees.
Investment income and Grfl AKJ are reccxJnised on a reeeivabfe basis.
The trustees are nundful of their res￿r￿1b411tseS and receNe relevant Charity commiss￿ information.
Goveming Document
A resolutiofi passed by the trust￿ on 28 Juty 2017 Yhe Trustees shall arrange an extemal scrutiny of

Rlsk Management
The trustees acbvety review the major risks that the charity *es on a regular basi5 and believe that
mainlaining reserves at current levels, combined wrth ar¢ annual review of the c4)ntrols over key financial
systems, will provide sufficient resourcesin the event of alvev5e conditions. The trustees have also
examined other Operat￿al and l)usiness risks faced by the Charity aTrJ confirm that ihese are revEwed
regulady.
Objectives and Activities
The obJ"eclNe of the Charity is to relieve poverty. dKstress, and and from inception SUPFKJrt was
given for education purposes and for the suppty of safe water in various overseas locations. As reported
previousty. of late. the main fctus of the Charity has been collects'ng fvnds for Lions Clubs Intemational
Foundation ILCIF)
with LCI MD105 Foundation. Reg. No.1164711 now dealirtg with VVaterAid eto
LCIF has been supported from the earty 1980's mainty by collecting and consolsdating donations from
clubs in response toappeals. LCIF is the grant-￿￿kIng arm of Lions Clubs Intematsonal with a mission to
support the efforts of Lions dubs worfthvwje in serving communth'es locally and gbbalty. Recentty LCIF
celebrated 50 year5 of empowerTrng Lions to make a profound drfference and over 13.000 grants given
fccused on.. Vision. Youlh, D￿aster Relief and Humanitarian Programmes.

Intematsonal established in 1917 in Chrago).. LCIF Emw)wering Service will give an opportunity to
increase Servi￿ impact in the areas mentioned. fight diabetes and expand global e2uses to include
HurwJer, ChildhwKI Cancer. and Environn*ntal Issues.
LCIF is a public, non-wofiL taxexempt cwK)rat￿)n under the provtsions of sect￿)n 501{c) {3} of the
Intemal Revenue Code {IRCI of 1986. as amended. InCo￿orated in 1968 in the United States as tre
chafitable arm of Lions Clubs Internaliwal. In Juty 2007 it was ranked the No.1 NGO {non-govemmental
organisationl with Nthich to partner in a study by the Finan¢kg1 Times.
In August 2019 LCIF eamed its eighlh consecuiive 4-Star ratiTh3 from Charity Navigator for its effective
fi￿1 managementand its commitment to accountabilty and transparency.

In November 2020 a Master Agreement between Lions Clubs lrrtemab.onal Foundation ILCIF) and
MD105 Appeal Fund was suned. This in effect formally agreed the process. as prevK)usly described,
for the collection aThJ Manage￿nt of funds on f*halfof LCIF.
Financial Review, Aehievements, and Perforniance
The income of the Trust remains in line with histotic transaclw)ns. Expendrture reflects funds being
retained for Kor￿ Bu.

The Charity meets the definitKm of a publ￿ benefil entity under FRS102. The main benefits result from
