when the name was changed froiii the Guild of Rahere.

nianaged by the Council whose niembers al'e the Ti'ustees of the Ti'ust. The cui'i'ent
members of the Council al'e shown on pag¢ 2,

Objectives and Activities
The objectives of the I'rust shall be the presei'vatioii and iinprovement of the fabric of the
Prioiy Chui'ch of Saint Bai'tholornew the Gi'eat and the maintenance of the chiirch, the
buildings used in connection theiEwilh, the oi'naii)ents and fuj'nishings tliereof and the 5ei'vices
held thei'ein.
Achievemeiits and Performance
The Ti'ust i'eceived a legacy of £38,743 dui'ing the yeai, whicli alloived the Ti'uslees to
awai'd a gi'ant to the Pat'ochial Chuich Council of G￿at St Baitholornew towards fabi'ic
repaii's.

The financial statcnients have been pi'epared in accoi'dance with Accounting and Reportii)g
by Charities: Statenient of Recommended Pi'actice applicable to cliarilies preparing theii
accounts in accoi'dance with tlie Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of li'eland (FRS 102) effectiv¢ fi'om I lanuai.), 2019, the Financial Repoiting
Standard applicable in the Uniled Kingdom and Republic of lieland (FRS 102), the Chai'ities
Act 2011 and the Financial Repoi'ting Standai'd applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
(FRS 102) effective from l Januai'y 2019.

The ti'ustees al'e i'esponsible for pi'eparing the Trustees, Annual Repoit and the financial
slaleinents An accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards
(United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
The law applicable lo chat'ities in England and Wales requiits the trustees lo prepare financial
statements foi. each financial year which give a (rue and fair view of the stat¢ of affairs of the
charity and of the incoming resour¢¢s and application of resoui'ces of the chai'ity foi, that
pei'iod. In pirparing ihese financial statements, the tlilstees are iyquired to:
Select suitable accounting policies and ihcn apply them consistently.
Observe the methods and priiiciples in Ihc Chai'ities SORP;
Make judgements and estimates that air reasonable and pi'udenl.
Stale whether applicable accounting standards hav¢ been followed, siibject to
any malerial dcpartui'es disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and

inappropi'iate to presume that the charity will continue in biisine5S.
The tivstees are responsible foi, keeping propel, accounting records that disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to
ensure that the financial statements comply with the Chai'ities Act 201 l. They al'e also

The chai'ity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102. The financial statemeiits
hav¢ been pi'eplll'ed in accoi'dance with Accoiinting and Repoiting by Chai'ities., Statement of
Recomniended Pi'aclice applicable to charities piepai'ing Ilieir accounts in accoi'dance with the
Financial Repoi'ting Slaiidai'd applicable in the UK and Republic of li'eland (FRS 102) issued
on l6 July 2014, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the Unilcd Kingdoin and
Republic of Ii'eland (FRS 102), the Chai'ities Act 201 I, Chuich Accounting Regulations 2006
and UK Geiiei'ally Accepted Piaciice as it applies fi'oin l Januai'y 2015.
The financial statements have been pi'epared on a going concei'n basis undei. Ihe histoi'ical cost
convention except foi. the i'ev#luation of investment assets, wliich are shown at mai'ket value.
The financial staten)enls are pjtpaied in slei'ling and i'ounded to ihe neaitst £.
The significant accounting policies applied in the pi'epai'alion of these financial stateinents
ait set out below. These policies have been con8lStently applied to all yeai's presented unless
oihei'wise stated.

Plai]ned giving receivable under Gift Aid is i'ecognised only wheii received and the related
Ancoiiie tax recoiierable is accrued.
Legacy income is recognised when the Ti'ustees becomcs 8wai'e that probatc has been gi'anted,
thei'¢ are sufficient assets in the estate to pa}T the legacy and Ihat any conditions attached to the
legacy al'e eithei. in the control of the Tiuslees or have ali'cady beeli met. On occasion legacies
will be notified ivliere it is not possible lo iiieasuir the aniount expected to be dists'ibuted with
sufficient i'eliability. On these occasions, the legacy is tieated as a coiitingent asset and
disclosed.
Interest entitleinents are accounted for as they accrue.
