Annual General Meeting Report-AcademicYear 2024-2025 This year has been one of changes. challenges, and possibilities. Ourwonderful Leader Kirstywebber left preschoolfor her Maternity Leave in October 24, she has been missed dearly but has always beenwith us in spirit. The super team stepped up to coverthe role whilst unfortunately. unsuccessfully attempted to recruit Maternity Cover. Huge thanks to theteam fortheirdedication and commitment to Buddiesl After her Maternity Leave Kirsty made the difficult decision notto return to Buddies. This has been super haid forher as she had been at Buddiesfor 16years, duringthis time she had grown hugely in confidence and skiii. Kirsty had taken hereducationfrom a Level3 to a Mastersl We miss her incredibly- however. we are fortunatethat she provides support from a far. We then had the brilliant luckthatwe had an internal candidate to take on Kirsty's role with a slight restructure, the lovely home-grown Charlotte. Charlotte has been settling into her role brilliantly and we are extremely proud of her growth. The Committee held an Easter Event and provided a presence for Buddies at local events which we are very grateful for. Overthe years recruiting a committee has become ever more challenging. We are asking parents and caregiversto donate time in what is often the busiest and most challenging part of their parenting journey. The level of commitment required is a big ask when we are aimingfor a full and efficient committee. Thisyearwe have had our lowest ever interest in joiningthe committee, hence havingto delaythe AGM. We do believethat a committee run model is no longer sustainable and are looking at possibilitiesto change this and hopeto be able to bring positive news on this very soon. Whilst Buddies struggles financiallyto maintain the building and would love to provide a refreshed environment, we are incredibly proud of the care and education thatthe team continue to offer. Buddies reaLlyfeels like a familywhere children feelsafe, happy, and flourish during theirtime here. Huge thanks to the team for stickingwtth Buddies and ensuringthe setting isn't, lost. It's been serving the communityfor over 50years andwould be a terrible lossfor itto end.
