Committee Annual Report AGM 22-23 

Unfortunately, we still seem to be finding ourselves struggling to recover from the financial impact of the pandemic. Despite working extremely hard through the difficult time and conquering many new challenges the running of the preschool has not completely returned to what I would call the glory days. I must stress this is the ‘running of the preschool’ not the wonderful work the Early Years Team do!! They are brilliant and much loved as always. 

As Kirsty mentioned in her Report numbers have been lower than usual which increases the existing financial strain, we are in a cycle where we do not have the much-needed funds to help show how fabulous Buddies is. The building needs some TLC, and I firmly believe that with teamwork this year, particularly with preschool benefitting from a full Committee that we can change this. There are opportunities available to make a difference and I am excited that it feels like a new beginning. 

The team and children are superb, with Kirsty being invited to represent the Sector on behalf of the Local Authority (alongside all her other achievements!) and Jo taking on not just the Enhanced Safeguarding qualification but also the Healthy Early Years accreditation scheme I am as always full of appreciation and wonder as we continue into this new academic year. 

Huge thank you to Kirsty, Jo, Helen & Charlotte for maintaining your passion and drive for excellence in Early Years. 

Lastly thank you to everyone who has supported Buddies over the years and who continue to do so – you really are appreciated! Buddies really is a special place.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **DD / MM / YYYY** . 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
